Oh sweet - you went to the park not far from where my husband and I live! We discovered it during the pandemic and have gone three times since then. We haven't explored the trail where you saw all the xylophones, so we'll have to look harder for it next time. :) But we did check out the farm, and I thought that cardboard cutout man was a real man in the animal enclosure too, lol. Like you, we kind of ran into the same thing where a few people were wearing masks, but not everyone. :/ I'm glad you all got some fresh air and were safe about doing it. Thank you for the video!

Just seeing this now although I know it was posted last year. Wanted to add that we LOVE Bill Fredricks Turkey Lake Park, and my son made the educational kiosk that you can see in this video near the butterfly garden. It was his Eagle Scout project and he designed and created the whole thing including the posters that explain the importance of pollinators in our world. Was hoping you would have seen it up close. Maybe next time you visit the childrens farm, you can show it. Thank you for your fun family vlogs!

Wearing a mask out walking around is not necessary nor does it do anything unless you are in crowds of more then 5 people, when social distancing could be compromised or where it is mandatory. Wearing gloves is more important to wear, we are always touching things and not all surfaces are cleaned ( like gas pumps, key pads, bank machines) MOST IMPORTANT. WASH YOUR HANDS!
FYI people. Babies under 2 can not wear masks there is a suffocation risk. Tim and Jenn your amazing and great parents. AIR Hugs

I've loved going to this park during Covid! It's so natural and peaceful and feels like old Florida. Interesting how there were so many people there. The time I've gone March/April during Covid there didn't seem to be that many people there. I like to walk the trails and paths near the 2nd parking lot. There didn't seem to be that many people in those areas compared to near the stables. I also really like the scrub habitat area (unfortunate) near the turnpike.

No masks for us when we go outside. our specialists say its only recommended when you can't guarantee the social distancing rule for longer periods of time (just passing someone isn't a highly infectuous situation. Masks aren't even obligated indoor they are just recommended. Our specialists have told us that less then 1% of people infected have gotten it outside. And people under 12 don't have to wear masks at all.

Sorry guys, but it seems really overly paranoid to be wearing masks in an open park. and not touching musical instrument, they have said the virus can't live on objects for more than a few minutes. Were there lot's of people around you? Loved the back of park look! Why do you think you need a mask when nobody is around or you are outside? In this part of the country it's not that crazy.

The CDC and Children's Hospitals all recommend no masks for children under the age of 2. For our part we should be careful to distance ourselves from babies even if we ARE wearing a mask, for THEIR safety. You don't have to enjoy it, just BE POLITE. It doesn't hurt you to be polite.

We went to a little town nearby (Ohio) and it was super crowded but we made sure we kept our distance. We didnt wear our masks outside but whenever we went inside we wore them and sanitized our hands before we went in and after. Its some weird stuff but its the world we are living in.
