The jail Was used up until 1940 until a fire burned the wooden parts of the jail. What remains of it can be found on the property today, with various slogans painted on it. It is considered to be one of the must see sites on Anna Maria Island and was even featured in Ripleys Believe it or Not.

Hey guys! Wondering how the beaches are down there in the winter? Thinking of doing Anna Maria Island late December or just after new years for our 10 year anniversary! Would normally go to WDW but wife is pregnant and covid. Also we would be driving 24 hours from NH so is it worth it?

Sleeping porch: it would have screens to protect sleepers from infestation, for the same reason the jail didn't have screens or windows. Sometimes a sleeping porch is located off the ground so it is easier to get to sleep, not worrying about someone walking up on you.

Might have missed it but does anyone know. Tim and Jenn are super strict when it comes to Covid. did they get tested in order to vacation with their friends? Or did they all quarantine? Genuinely curious here.
