Todays vlog is day 3 of our Very Merrytime Disney Cruise! Today we set sail for Castaway Cay, Disneys private island. This is our first stop at Castaway Cay, well be back in a couple of days. We start the day with breakfast at Cabanas and we meet some characters while we wait to dock at the island. We had some strong winds so we docked and disembarked a little later than we originally planned. We made it onto the island about 2 hours later and we walked over to pick out our spot on the beach, but before we did that we stopped to see some fun characters on the beach. Everyone looked so cute in their island outfits. We also get to see some of the Christmas decorations around the island. Castaway Cay at Christmas is just so magical. Then we play in the ocean with Jackson and take him to the Spring-a-Leak splash pad, which he loved. We have some lunch and then Tim heads out snorkeling. He got to see some of the new items that they sunk in the snorkel area, it was beautiful. Before heading back to ship we take a few rides on the Pelican Plunge slides, which were so fun! Then we head back to the ship for Pirate Night! We had dinner at the Enchanted Garden, which had a more pirate themed menu and a few pirates even came around to the tables and sang a song. After dinner we put Jackson down for bed and we get to see the Christmas fireworks! Then we meet some more characters around the atrium, everyone was in their pirate costumes, it was cute! We got some really fun interactions too. Then we call it a night, we had the best day ever! We did so much and we cant wait to go back to Castaway Cay!

I wonder if booking a room for a cruise, if you have a child with autism, if you let them know, if they'll work with you on getting a room farther away from the fireworks. I'd love to do a family Disney cruise one day, but with my son having autism, idk if it would work out. He loves watching fireworks, but the sounds terrify him, just last night he woke up about 1am because of fireworks, and wasn't able to get to sleep until about 3/3: 30am.

When I was four years old I went on a Disney cruise with my family, and we rented bikes on Castaway Cay. I was screaming bloody murder the whole time in the kids seat on the back of the bike My parents joke today that they were thinking about leaving me on the island I was such a pain in the butt. I'm excited to see how Jackson liked the bikes as I work my way through your vacation videos!

Belle asked about me every day since I met her on my first day of my 7 day fantasy cruise, it was booked to the max, it made my trip! They had the same photographer and she would remember my name and everything, they truely dont get paid enough, its like acting, customer service, and truely captivating a character!

Castaway cay is missing an icon and some height. With royal carribibran building up their own island a few years ago I feel like Disney is missing a symbol on their island.
Something that guests can see as they pull closer to the island so they don't feel like they are visiting a big flat boring island.

VEAL ISN'T NORMALLY ON THE PIRATE MENU. WAS IT A SPECIAL ORDER OR HAVE THEY CHANGED THE MENU. It seems like most that I have seen are the same as before. There used to be a lamb on the pirate menu, but not veal. More details please. or a photo or screenshot of the menu please.

You still have Barbecue flavoured Walkers crisps in the States! In the UK Lays is known as Walkers and when I was a kid the Barbecue flavour was huuuuge (and I loved it) and then it suddenly disappeared and I don't think I've had any since. Very jealous

You all are great ambassadors for Disney. Just spent a week between Vero Beach resort and Old Key West. Wish we could do it all the time! Enjoying the Disney experience from Jacksons view. He is a happy camper

Jackson's love of water and splash pads is amazing. He is so much fun to watch, living the sweet toddler life, smiling so much. It makes me remember my son being little like that. So happy-go-lucky.

It's amazing how the server always remembers what you like.
Ours even remembered every drink we like and had them on the table even before we sat down.
Amazing service.

What a funny thought. some diehard Disney fan(adult or child) randomly finding Boo's door floating ashore or wading along. I knew the doors were real!
