A tour of Sokcho begins in the northern area of Gangwon-do, South Korea. From a lively downtown area to easy access to Mt. Seoraksan, Sokcho has a little something for everyone.
Your sightseeing in Sokcho will include trips to the local museums, or, if youre visiting during July and August, visits Sokcho Beach. It overlooks the Sea of Japan, and is a popular place for locals to kick back in the summer. Trips to Sokcho are also often the springboard for exploring the nearby Seoraksan National Park.
If you get hungry while in town, youll find plenty to eat; Sokchos fishing fleet brings in a tremendous catch each day. You can visit the night market to stock up on seafood and fresh produce, as well as cooked local delicacies.
