Montevideo Uraguays capital welcomes visitors to its seaside city bounds. Explore Montevideo with us and start planning a trip here of your own. Montevideo: Uruguay is emerging as one of South Americas favorite destinations. Its capital #Montevideo has a warm, temperate climate, pleasant sea breezes and miles of boulevards. #Tour the city while on #vacation here and #visit the towers, squares and cathedrals of its Old Towns. Wander along the 19-mile long promenade, La Rambla leads to the citys favorite playground: De Los Pocitos Beach. Enjoy the proud local tradition of parrilla. The best way to try it is to buy cuts of meat in the Mercado del Puerto, and have those cooked for you on the spot. #Explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Colonia del Sacramento, with its landmark lighthouse, sleepy Plaza de Armas, historic Portn de Campo and atmospheric Street of Sighs. Uruguay may be small, but its big heart and relaxing vibe creates a lifetime of memories

Pacifico e piu relassiamente.

Do not use the currency exchange at MVD airport, I got a euro rate of just over 30 pesos/euro, over 40/1 was available down town. My advice is to change what you need for a taxi, if that, they will take dollars Im sure as there are exchanges houses on most major streets.

An other correction we are 90% Italian desendents 10 % Spaniard and Portuguese and, we get our beach culture from europeans and not from the Brazilians. By the way Brasil who? 1950 Uruguay 2 Brasil 1. We have to copy absolutely NOTHING, from Brazil. Uruguay is Uruguay!

This is the capital city of Uruguay with the nice influences.
The people are more nice to greet and have some time to enjoy there.
It is great to travel as well.

Very beautiful, welcoming (and expensive) country. And you can eat first-quality meat with fries and fried eggs. It's expensive but people live good there.

Beautiful by a million folds though the narrator has too many mentions of Argentina! It stands tall on its own accord! Gracias!

I met a nice man from Uruguay a month ago and I realised I didn't know anything about his country. Now I know more. Thanks!
