Dubrovnik This Croatian city is one of Europes most enduring treasures. Check out the top places to visit in Dubrovnik and start planning a trip of your own! Dubrovnik: Your #Dubrovnik #vacation brings you to a living museum, to the ramparts of the Old Town, in a city facing the Adriatic Sea. Walk along the tops of the citys boundary walls, then amongst the assortment of restored and reconstructed Renaissance, Gothic and Baroque palaces, plazas, monasteries, churches and fountains. You wont find billboards or shop signs here, due to local regulations aimed at preserving the heritage of the city. Enjoy life outside the Old Town walls at Banje, Dubrovniks main beach, or at Gruz Harbour, the main port. #Visit the many restaurants, cafes and bars in the city, and the both lively and laid-back venues that make up nightlife in Dubrovnik

Well, looks like my top ten list of places to visit will have one more place added to it! I've always felt drawn to ancient, medieval towns and Dubrovnik has a special place in my heart even though I've never been there! Hopefully one day I'll get to actually visit it!

I just went this past November. Absolutely beautiful city! There are castle walls on one side, palm trees across the street, the Adriatic Sea surrounding you. Its just an amazing city that you must experience for yourself

I almost can see Cersei Lannister walking through the walls of Dubrovnik (aka King's Landing) with those evil eyes, and thinking how can I conquer the seven kingdoms. Dubrovnik, The City of Game of Thrones.

I feel so lucky to be a European (not EU) citizen. Europe is without doubt, the most architecturally diverse part of the world, and boasts some of the worlds most beautiful and historic cities.

It would be necessary to tell also that Dubrovnik paid always a tribute to the Ottomans in order to have guaranted independence and freedom of business and religion in the Balkans.

Beautiful old dalmatian-italian town, real name is Repubblica di Ragusa. What we see here, the old town and buildings had never ever been Croatian. They just occupied it after WWI.
