I live in Orlando but always spend time in St Petersburg and it's beaches. The art scene is incredible. Check out the 2nd Saturday Art Walks to get a good taste of the art scene there. Stop by Gulfport and enjoy its quaint ambiance. As for the beaches, Treasure Island and shopping/dining of John's Pass are top notch. You really cannot go wrong anywhere in the St. Pete area. There's a ton of history and adventure all year round.

Love St. Pete so proud of my city. I live in Atlanta now but love raking my husband and kids to my home town. It is totally different now. I feel like a tourist when I just the area.
