Kutná Hora: one of the Czech Republic’s most fascinating UNESCO World Heritage towns. During the Middle Ages, this Bohemian town became a wealthy silver-mining center, rivaling Prague in wealth, political influence, and artistic ambition, leaving behind a remarkable architectural legacy. Founded in the 13th century following the discovery of silver, Kutná Hora grew into one of the wealthiest cities in the Kingdom of Bohemia, producing a significant share of Europe’s silver. In the 14th century, it was elevated to a royal city and became home to the royal mint at the Italian Court (Vlask dvr, where Bohemian coins were minted. In the video: Kutná Hora’s medieval old town; the magnificent late-Gothic St. Barbara’s Cathedral; the Sedlec Ossuary, where thousands of human bones were arranged into intricate artistic decorations; and the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist.

Peace and Tranquility in this beautiful city. makes me think. The most. Weirdest things are taking place somewhere else in Europe by now. not far way.

I see this celebrated city for the first time. Beautiful indeed! The silver miners' great rebellion in the 14th century was the only thing I knew about this lovely place.
