Day 15 - Everest Base Camp Trek - Lukla Airport to Kathmandu Beagle76: The guys that fly these things are the best. They have to be because its totally unforgiving if you make a mistake. I have done a flight in New Zealand that weaved between mountain, that was wild but it was fairly smooth. This is really wild flying especially if it-s rough. That-s a hairy runway, the planes are designed for that though.

Just watched all episodes with Everest. Really liked your efforts. We went to Polkara(sp) and walked around there, pre-family and seeing your picks makes me want to go back. Not sure a 4 year old could do it, but those guys gave strength. Any suggestions for families?

Awesome guys! I watched all 15 episodes and it felt as if I was with you on the journey. So nice. Great couple. I am sure you would have thanked the guide and the guy who carried all your stuff, however you could have given some mention of them in the last video.

Tell me how your body held up to all that trekking to EBC and back to Lukla; what kind of physical training did you guys prepare yourself for the EBC trek. you guys inspire a 66 yo retiree, you guys made EBC look like a walk in the park!

Such an enjoyable video series of your adventure! Thanks for sharing. I am probably never going to make that trip but yes, I did get to see it virtually. Wonderful! Glad no sickness or injury for either of you.

This aircraft ( i am guessing a Fokker) i think was -younger- than the Twin Otter you flew in with.
Still i would feel safer in a Twin Otter.
Best STOL (short take off and landing) aircraft there is.

Tell him its not the take off that's the problem no one dies on take off its the landings that kill people no matter how short the flight is, its the landings you gotta watch out for------
