BEST DAY IN ICELAND - Black Diamond Beach & Skogafoss Waterfall Robyn: I really hate that when most people go to Iceland they always complain about the prices of things are so high. Look at where Iceland is! Many items have to be brought in from Europe, North America either by ship or air. Yes food was a bit expensive but when I was there in January of 2019 I didn't find things rediculous (however I had done research & knew what to expect. Also if you are staying in Iceland for longer time than 3 days & staying in AirBnb's know that in Reykjavik there is a Costco to pick things up at rather than other stores. Also know that if you stay at a hotel pretty much all of them offer breakfast as part of the cost. The hotel I was at said it was a continental breakfast buffet (if had almost everything: fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, pasteries, bread, hard boiled & soft boiled eggs, variety of juices & coffee, tea & hot chocolate + they had several toasters for people to use. Iceland is worth a visit. I really want to go back & see more of the country.

Hi kara & Kate, how's you, I currently a big fan of you guys. Just a small suggestion, it's ok if you had left the batteries of the drone. I think your guys should edit all that u say. Coz if u mention about the drone. Viewers will have higher expectations. U guys just are incredible in the way u shoot videos. Just go with the flow, don't mention anything u missed example - -drone battery-. Its alright. Next time u forget some thing dont mention it. Because what ever you guys film and show its quite incredible and admirable so we viewer tend to forget in what manner are u filming. So it's all kool. I m sorry I wrote too much. But I really felt. So I wrote. Regards and love Sohil Chandel

Honestly. when I went to Iceland, I was told repeatedly how expensive it was but compared to where I live it wasn-t that bad. The only difference is. I don-t eat out in Colorado the way I did in Iceland. Food always eats up a budget but as a whole living in CO is so comparable to living in Iceland it-s not even funny. Actually. rent is cheaper in Iceland than it is here. Pay wage higher. Things that shouldn-t be worried about like health insurance and education taken care of. I-d rather pay more for food than life in general.

Curious. why didn't you guys take any video when you reached the area that the stairs led you to at the waterfall? I'm not sure if this is the same waterfall we went to last year (Oct. 2019, but it looks like it, and we were able to take a couple of pictures and video from behind the waterfall. It was a little bit scary because it was getting dark and slippery, but it was still cool.

-2: 52 re the wind in Iceland - when you got the rental car did you also get the special SANDBLASTING insurance? Apparently, all that wind + all the volcanic sand combine together to make a natural sandblasting machine. We did not get the insurance (it's very expensive) and there we a couple times that we were very fearful of moving the car for fear that it would get sandblasted

I am loving these videos when we lived in Iceland there were no tourist. We would wander all over the island and see locals. We went to most of the spots you have visited without seeing another sole. We lived in Keflavik. We really miss living there. The blue lagoon was only the run off from the geothermal plant where we got our hot water heat.

My first time commenting on your vlogs, but they are wonderful! The videos are beautiful, the relationship between Kara and Nate is fun and loving. With Nate's sister and brother-in-law there, you four could even make having a root canal enjoyable. I am looking forward to binge watching even more videos. :)

Went to Iceland for our anniversary a few years ago. One of the best trips I've ever taken! I would HIGHLY recommend utilizing the services of Nordic Visitor to help plan your trip. They get excellent deals and discounts and make the entire planning process super easy (and cheaper!

Jokullsarlon and diamond beach are so amazing! I could have spent the entire day there just looking at the ice! Next time I want to do one of the zodiac tours in the lagoon. So glad you ended up getting to see the bigger ice chunks on the beach.

I-m so surprised you guys- lungs didn-t hurt from climbing up that waterfall. I was there a couple of weeks ago and me and everyone in my group had insane burning pain in our lungs from going up too fast. Altitude sickness I guess.
