Percé Rock is a 88 m/289 ft high limestone monolith in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, at the tip of the Quebec's Gaspé Peninsula. It is an iconic natural landmark famed for its natural arch sculpted by erosion. Nearby Bonaventure Island hosts one of North America's largest northern gannet colonies, with over 100, 000 birds nesting on its cliffs. The Gannets are interesting. See how they keep a uniform distance from each other, like an agreed-upon personal space. A vast area of these birds but no crowding anywhere, always the same spacing. A mother sitting over her baby responds with a bite when two others intrude into her space.
