I would like to tell you about a trip to the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway, made in a Skoda Octavia (avt. 1.6 engine, 2017). Why I emphasize on the car, I answer to avoid questions about the small consumption of gasoline, which would necessarily arise.
Initially with my wife planned a huge trip across the whole of Norway from north to south in 15 days, but family circumstances reduced it to 10 days, so we made a choice in favor of Northern Norway.
The trip was planned to be budget, overnight stays in campgrounds, food was taken partially from home, visas were available.
My wife and I gained experience of life in camping in Iceland, but we flew there by airplane, so we were limited in things and amenities. We approached this trip more thoroughly, bought a kayak Viking 4.6, took an inflatable mattress, table, chairs, barbecue, firewood, coals, and other small things.

We also planned a trip by car from the south to the north and back through Finland, by the way, also for 15 days, camping, tent and food with us)))) But the weather forecast, alas 13 out of 15 days of rain, scared us and in Sweden we turned towards Italy)))
