TBH i tried SG airlines in economy it's really bad, on the first flight, I had no food option and wasn't offered a hot towel, and the plane was an very very old 777-200 and it was a very bumpy flight, but at least this plane the leg rooms are spacious. On the way back it was a newer a330, the leg room is soooo small, even feel small for me an average sized asian. My tall friend traveling with me had to swap to a corridor seat so that he can squeeze into the seat, leaving his legs in the corridor. In general SG airlines is not bad for sure but definitely not the best in terms of economy class.

I've flown with Emirates a few times and it's an ok experience but I didn't appreciate getting sick from the food on one flight and that was in business class. Personally I found Etihad to be the best I've flown with, great customer service, food and just a great all round experience. Maybe you could do a follow up with the 10 worst airlines. I'd nominate Air India which was a truly appallingly bad experience from start to finish.

TripAdvisor's top 10 airlines is completely subjective and based on the most reviewed airlines on the site. Thai Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Cathay Airways, Lufthansa, and Hainan Airlines (which made it in the Top 10 Skytrax rating) didn't made the list here because most of those airlines are regional and rarely fly to Europe and the Americas, so not many people reviewed it on TripAdvisor. Very subjective.

Makes sense that Southwest Airlines is probably the only American airline on this list. Considering the wretched reputation the rest have gained like United Airlines, especially with they force passengers to give up their seats at the drop of a dime.

Budget airline Jet2 in this list? Tripadvisor be tripping Budget airlines should compete in their own category. It cannot be lumped together with flagship airlines. It's like putting featherweight boxer among heavyweight boxers.

Tarom and Aegean are(in my opinion) the best European regional airlines. Free checked bags and hot meals for 2 hour flights, well thats a rarity nowadays
