All it takes is one particularly nasty bug to upend the world as we know it. Today were discussing how epidemics and pandemics threaten the entire travel industry. Were admittedly living in scary times. With a global pandemic being declared by the World Health Organization in early 2020, were forced to come to terms with how quickly life can go from business as usual to something else entirely. For all of our modern medicine and technology, were still woefully unprepared to deal with a global health crisis. In a matter of days, an outbreak of an infectious disease can become an epidemic. In a matter of weeks, that epidemic can become a pandemic with effects being felt around the world. While such outbreaks threaten numerous industries, there are few more vulnerable to its effects than the travel industry. Pedro: Travel itself will survive. However, it is up to travelers themselves to continue their adventures once this virus has passed so that we can lift up the industry.

Airline employee here thanks for the video alot of people think the goverment should not help the airline companies when they provide millions of jobs and its high cost to maintain only 2 weeks of having less flights has effect us so bad

Question, how does world tourism deal with mainland Chinese tourist when this is over? Will it be travel as usual for them? Or would issues like the cause and transparency of the virus need to address?
