It-s wild, aside from being born in Oregon, I-ve lived my whole life on the eastern half of the country in Michigan and Florida. But I-ve been out to L. A. and California a good 10-12 times. But not ever living there, it-s wild what an illusion it can have seemed to you your whole life, or how you never quite realized the layout or proximity of everything. On TV or in movies, you just see snippets. Rodeo Drive, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Boulevard, the studios, the Hollywood Bowl. Overall you-re presented with a very rose-colored picture of it all, when in fact it-s much grittier, more crowded, and certain areas even seem much smaller and more limited. I do like California a lot, but having been to L. A. a number of times and watched videos like this, I feel like Northern California or the Pacific Northwest are more -me- west coast-wise. But, LOL, that sort of sucks because I work in television and film, and would have a MUCH easier time career-wise finding work if I just moved there.

You may be uncomfortable narrating your project but can't help wondering if a brief caption might be helpful and easy. As someone that has traveled to Los Angeles at least twice a year for 35 years I've often done these runs myself and so I recognize some of these locations. But I noticed that you had traveled quite a bit, and I hadn't heard I mean, I do remember that MGM is in the Rodeo drive area and the only reason I knew that you were passing it up was that there was a picket line on the sidewalk? I said what could that be and then I said well, there's a strike, so it must be one of the major studios and that area is well known to me. So I said that's got to be MGM small offices

Very nice! Thanks for the video! Clean windshield, no blinker sound, no bums - Helps my anxiety and depression tbh, seeing someplace else and a different view. Here in Portland Oregon we got bums everywhere. You go for a walk and there are more bums than regular people on the street. It messes with your mental health seeing these people, having to deal with them, not knowing how their state of mind is, them camping outside where you live, breaking into cars, etc.

Overgrown trees and over population but where are the homeless? Surprising vid and not hi def enough to make out the street names. They claim a SAG/AFTRA only makes 26k on average. You couldn't afford to live there on that! But more like likely; they're asking to triple wages to meet the inflation their fellow democrats have caused. Worst part; they'll get it.

Oh my goodness. Home. Lived in Burbank and Studio City for most of my adult life, worked at Warner Bros for almost 20. We had to move out of state thanks to rents tripling within a year and homeless encampments/crime and violence. But we miss it every day.
I hope you stopped at Porto's in Burbank?

Kind of sad that sections of Hollywood Blvd seems to have turned into a mass homeless encampment.
Very different then when I saw it in 1993, when it was quite a clean street.

I don't know what camera you use but it's fantastic; the colors are so vivid especially when you pulled into Universal Studios. Hope to visit California one day: )

What cam did you use to shoot this? I didn't see it in your listing there. Also, are you shooting in HLG/HDR natively or shooting log and then grading it for HDR?
