I was a telephone installer and repairman in Montecito for 30 years. I retired in 2005. Been in most of its mansions and worked for most of its celebrities. I'd see Oscars or an Emmy on a mantle and most were for writers, costume design, screenplays, directors, or other such talents. When I retired I sold out, packed up, and moved out of California to a saner place. However, I did enjoy working in Montecito and taking your relaxing and reminiscing drive through the area.

Would enjoy living there someday, but the potential fires, soil erosion problems, and recent flooding are factors that cause me to consider other spots.

I’m happy for every time I stayed at the Biltmore Hotel. We overthink these indulgences (at least I do, but what joy to enjoy the opportunity.

I was here for a week during this time period. Driving around as in this video (Dashing) and swimming at Butterfly Beach. Now back in Buffalo, NY.
