Wilson: Be careful. A lot of UK houses have a 60 Amp limit on their input mains power. If you are using 32 Amps for charging, that will only leave 28 Amps to run everything else in the house. If you then had a 3kW blower heater running and say a clothes washing machine with a 3kW consumption, that would only leave 2 amps to run everything else in the house. When our supplier replaced our supply cables for safety reasons, in anticipation of getting a plug in Hybrid, I requested a 100 Amp supply, which they fitted. I had a 32 Amp exterior supply installed for my Panamera Hybrid charger. Even so if my wife now gets an EV or a PHEV, needing another 32 Amp/7. 2 KW charger, it still will not leave a lot of headroom. Date: 2022-06-30
