I watched this video and saw something interesting. In the 4c he had traction control full off. In the Cayman he had traction control on. I'm not sure why that was the case but you can see how hard it was for him to drive the 4c. Lol. I think he needs a Cayman because he sucks as a driver. The 4c is a true track car. Everyone I talked to before buying it said it was one of the best cars they even driven on track. I also hate boring German cars. That's why I also own a S2000 and a Gen 5 Viper. I want to earn that fast lap, not let the car earn if for me.

FAKE, BIASED VIDEO. This guy had to have been paid by Porsche. Porsche used an empty tank, while the AR used a full one? Then, he didn't even put the AR into race mode as he should have? This guy literally did everything he could to make sure the AR didn't beat the Porsche. when literally EVERYONE here in the comments knows it will. Hope that Porsche paycheck was worth sacrificing your journalism integrity, because guess what? You just lost every bit of it.

I sold my 987 Cayman R for a 2016 4C coupe. Best decision I have ever made, and the first car I will keep for life. In stock form the 4C is a fast car with excellent handling. With just a little work it becomes a rocket ship on rails. Buy a Cayman if you want a sterile, surgical track tool that can be a daily driver. Buy a 4C if you want emotion, beauty and smiles with every single drive.

For me, I think the Alfa is more special, and prefer it for the uniqueness and cool factor. Neither car is probably going to be the fastest car on the track, but I would bet the Alfa brings more smiles. The Cayman is a great car for sure, and for most people, it would be the preferred choice. I am a bit of an outlier, and prefer the strange cars in general.

why is the alfa so slow, its a whopping 400 kilos lighter than the Porsche, it has a massive power to weight advantage, and it has a dsg gearbox as opposed to a manual, it should walk all over that base spec cayman. i would expect a new civic type r to show it a clean set of heels based on that dire performance. ;

ham fisted driver, pay attention to throttle power in turns to eliminte understeer. this is a seriously focused trak tool keep turbo spinning and use chassis immense ability. its not a multi purpose porker. when an italian driver is behind the wheel of the alfa 4c u will not catch it in the porker.

Having driven both cars i can tell you the 981 cayman in a manual is far better in every way. I really wanted a 4c until i drove one and realised how cheap they feel and the little 4cyl sounds like its constantly struggling. The caymans flat 6 and manual gearbox is incredible.

For anyone looking at this in 2020. I agree, the Porsche wins on the practical levels, but the 4C wins every where else. So the Cayman is the Honda Accord of sports cars. It is safe for your mom to drive (and all of the old men in my neighborhood. But for me, I want the 4C.

hat a load of nonsense this review. I sold my Cayman for my 4c for a reason. the 4c feels more visceral than the Cayman. the Breaks feels a lot better than the Cayman, and also feels a lot faster.
