The stunning Genesis G70 Shooting Brake is coming to the UK this year, and here's everything you need to know before it goes on sale. Genesis is a new name in Europe, but it's already made its mark elsewhere as the luxury spin-off brand of Hyundai. It aims to do the same here in 2021, with a line-up that includes the G80 saloon, GV80 SUV, and this: the rather striking G70 Shooting Brake. It'll be going up against cars like the BMW 3 Series Touring, Audi A4 Avant and the Mercedes C Class Estate, but how does it stack up? Dear Genesis. Look, there's no need to have dozens of these sitting around showrooms around the country. Have 1 in key states and at least ALLOW customers to order one and have them come over with other Hyundai/Kia/Genesis shipments. Please don't punish those who love sports wagons, shooting brakes and hatches. I'm sorry that Americans are like lemmings drinking the SUV koolaid.

Great car. The biggest problem with this brand in the UK is lack of advertising and brand awareness. Genesis need to really up their game and make the buying public aware of their luxury brand. If they don't they will unfortunately fail as people in the UK are like clones and default to buying Mercedes/BMW/Audi. A few with imagination and thought buy Lexus.

This is going to be a sales disaster, just like Infiniti is/was! And let's be honest, Lexus isn't exactly mainstream in the UK either, so much so that most of the interesting Lexus models aren't available in the UK - ES350, LS500 F Sport, or the RX570. Most Lexus lines are either 4-pots or Hybrids. boring!

Again British motoring media fawns over a foreign brand while they pan Jaguars and other British marks. As an ex-pat I've been to many counties in Asia and they do not buy foreign cars like we buy theirs. No thanks a Jag or some European make is my choice.

Are there any in the UK currently? Maybe with the UK office or being tested? I followed and passed one yesterday morning on the B4077 in the Cotswolds at around 0730am. Black or dark grey. Also it had tailpipes on both sides.

Disappointed. How are you supposed to load big stuff in the boot through such a narrow opening. Plus that rear space and visibility. the whole rear end is absurd
reply

1: 09 You say the boot is 330 liters. -What Car? - says it's 465 liters. So, what is it?
Edit: Thanks for the correction and for the First Look on the car.

Oohh I'm glad they're bringing this brand to the Europe. Fantastic styling on this car. Very refreshing. Also great work on this video --

Better looking than the BMW or Mercedes because it is unique looking. Acid test will be how good it is to drive/live with.
