Save up to 3750 on an EV with the Electric Car Grant: This is the all-new Mercedes CLA! The CLA has gone all-electric for the first time, and Mat has flown over to Copenhagen to put this all-new, ultra-modern saloon to the test! Let’s take a closer look at the car, starting with the design. Mercedes claims the CLA has a range of an amazing 492 miles, so it’s no surprise that the car is super sleek to help it glide through the air. There are minimal panel gaps across the car, and at the front, there’s a full-length light bar, vents that can open and close to cool the battery, and vents on either side. Along the side, the alloy wheels have been designed to reduce drag, there are smaller side mirrors, and pop-out door handles. At the back, there’s a long boot lid to help reduce drag, and another full-length light bar just like the front. The interior of the CLA is super modern! The main statement piece is the full-length screen that stretches across the entire dash! This encompasses the digital dials, the main infotainment screen, and a third screen for the front passenger (the latter being an optional extra. The majority of the cabin is covered in soft-touch materials, and there’s a good amount of storage throughout. The seats are super comfortable, and the infotainment system is super clear and responsive. It also uses the latest version of Mercedes' infotainment system, so it comes with ChatGPT integration. The CLA is powered by an 85kWh battery. The car we have here is the CLA 25, which can produce 272hp and hit 60 mph in 6. 7 seconds, while there’s also a more powerful CLA 350 that produces 354hp and hits 60mph in 4. 9 seconds. It comes with 320kW DC charging, which gives 200 miles of range with just 10 minutes of charging. That's perfect for the 250 edition, given that it comes with a claimed range of 492 miles! The CLA Electric range starts from 45, 615, with the range-topping AMG Line costing from 51, 770. So is it worth it Or should you pick up a competitor like the Tesla Model 3 or BMW i4 instead Stick with Mat to see for yourself! I have been driving my 2022 kia niro for 3. 5 years. Usually i get on summer time 14. 5km/100kwh. So i am asking, with all that hype for efficiency and streamlining, what did this Mercedes get Super nice and tense battery, all fine line, and they are same as my 3 year old cheap kia. Weight has very little effect of Electric cars, yes it is harder to start moving but with regen breaking you also regain more energy with that weight. Only real thing that weight effects, is wheel drag, and it is minimal, don't fall for this new tech light weight stuff. In real life it is just branding.

Electric cars are continuing to develop, no question. But the biggest advantage that combustion engines have is the following. I drive to the filling station, fill up and drive wherever I want anonymously. Filling up electrically means the following.
- I drive to the charging station and have to fill up electronically, no more anonymity.
- I can be told what time I can fill up.
- How far can I drive
Despite all the enthusiasm for the new drive technology. It's not about environmental protection but about total surveillance and control!

I used to love cars. Now I just can't understand why anyone would spend that much money on a rolling mobile phone. I guess I'm just getting old. Problem for all car manufacturers however, is that many potential customers are my generation (X. Judging by the comments, I'm not seeing much positive reaction from anyone.
Please make quality cars that are simple, reliable and have style. I might just be tempted to buy one if you do. Until then, my aging BMW will continue to be my preferred option.

28: 33 I think to use the lane change assistant, you only need to tap the indicator lightly instead of pushing it all the way through, similar to when you want just three blinks. However, I have the same problemeven when tapping lightly, the car refuses to change lanes because it thinks the situation isn’t safe enough. It’s probably due to some regulations, as my previous GLE handled this much better and could manage lane changes in almost any situation.

Apparently, this was the longest paid EV Ad I've ever watched. Carwow, you're better than that! This car is hideously ugly, has no mercedes DNA, is full of crappy technology that is not useful for anything and more importantly it is an overpriced piece of plastiic that is going to be throw away in 10 years max. It does not derserve the mercedes badge in my opinion. A major downgrade from 80's and 90's mercedes to be honest!

Way too expensive. Too much screen. Lies again about range // charge speed. Too few button for basic controls. No quick 'kill switch' for all that unwanted tech. Mercedes need to talk to their customers, as I don't think many of them want to drive a mobile phone on wheels. No wonder BEV don't sell well to private buyers.
This one is a definite AVOID like the plague!

I used to be a big petrolhead. I loved cars. I loved the insides, the outsides and the technology. This video confirms I don’t care at all anymore. The inside is just so unbelievably worthless. It’s extremely ugly, it’s cheap and very unpractical. My next car is going to be a near 20 year old w211 e-class. Because these have a inside you actually want to be in.

How much of an a-hole do you have to be to call people on bikes 'hazards' in a liveable place like Copenhagen (or lesser liveable places, such as in the UK) Oh, right, drivers killing people with speeding, inattention and a false sense of safety, are so inconvenienced by that, they can skip that pesky accountability thing and just call them 'accidents'. FFS.

People weird i think it looks good not super sporty not the best looking but it is cool this the entry level merco and the details they put this car is amazing, people just dont understand about automotive they write comments, also many complain about screens what is wrong with the 3. Screen will it eat you, just don’t buy the option.

350mile on a full charge a 2. 2 clasic merc diesel, driven in same condition average 700-730miles range with just a full tank that just take 5 minutes to fillso where is progress The car looks amazing but. not an electric one. a family will need to stop more often to get a full charge, so probably from Carlisle to London needs 2 stops

ugly as hell, cheap interior, doesn't do better than a standard car, take too much to recharge like always, if it breaks down it is best to buy a new one, cost too much for what it is, weight almost 400 kg more then the diesel cla, another EV that barely chenge anything for the enviroment and is worst then a traditional car

i love technology and virtual speedometers, but my god that interior is ugly. i don't mind a massive screen but at least give us controls to use it because i've almost crashed multiple times while trying to press the right thing on a touchscreen while driving, i no choice but to focus on the screen to do it

Lets be realistic nobody drives there cars without music or something playing on the radio then you have heat if its cold and air con if its warm or when ur windows steam up so i say realistically your looking about 300 miles mabe 350 depending on were ur driving and ur speed

That CLA electric looks sharp! I'm curious to see how the real-world range and charging speeds compare to Tesla. The pricing seems pretty competitive, but I wonder how the different model trims will affect that. Anyone have thoughts on the interior design #Mercedes #CLAelectric

Broooor. simply ugly, and I'll never buy a battery-powered car. If one catches fire, it's hard to put out, and besides, batteries aren't environmentally friendly. Greetings from Germany. I drive Japanese and French cars. I especially like the old English cars!

Are full length rear light bars legal in the UK , I remember the old days fitting auxillary lighting was very closely regilated
Imagine following this car on a foggy night with its full length rear light bar PLUS the obligatory fog lights. nice! .not

They missed the biggest issue. IT CANT CHARGE on the majority of uk rapid chargers as it won’t charge on 400dc - this makes the car almost unusable for people doing long distances. At least they covered the more important issue of where to buy duck.

With a clean brand, strong utility, and product rollout aligned with the next bull cycle, Bellarium Network $BEL token feels like it’s just waiting to explode. I don’t need another meme. I need something that can last. BEL might be it.

Did I miss the part about the big problem that, for DC charging, this car can only charge at a 800 volt DC charger whereas the majority of public chargers are 400 volt. Other 800 volt cars have a converter but not this one.
