I like it how people bash on Japanese cars and the technology used compared to the German Elite Three.
Firstly, Japan is one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world. It's not like it is lagging behind Germany anywhere when it comes down to gadgets.
The real reason why Lexus & Toyota will never use the newest tech in cars is quite simple - they would put only tried and tested mechanics & electronics, as the majority of those brands' clients actually BUYS them (unlike the leasing options preferred for Audi-Merc-Bimmer. So when you got the average American who keeps his car for an average of 11, 5y, you won't rip him off with expensive servicing & tough maintenance. That is why the German manufacturers will be miles behind the Japs in America & Asia.
It is understandable that Europeans will prefer the best value for money in the short term, given the type of consumer thinking - rent, do not own.
But still - having a Lexus is stress-free, comforting experience that comes at its price.

I have a 2013 ES350, bought it April 2019 with only 30, 009 miles. definitely previous owner babied this one. Hands down Lexus IS far superior to any Mercedes! Reliability is in a class by itself. any German car is an empty $ pit as they age (over 5 years) with high mileage 50-80k miles! I bought a BMW X5 in July 2018 with 96k miles, what looked like in mint condition physically. Within 8 months i had $2, 500-$3k in repairs. Front end work, Leaking rear diff, Door lock broke. this was work was all done at a BMW dealership under an extended Warranty bought with that X5. I couldn-t sell it privately and traded it in for my 2013 ES350 for $10, 200. took about a $7 k loss! Trust me I LEARNED THE HARD WAY! GERMAN CARS SUCK. LEASE NEW if you have to get one. NEVER buy used or new!
LEXUS is the most reliable automotive company on the road. I-ll be keeping my ES350 until the wheels fall off! -. I have nearly 4 1/2 years remaining on my car loan. then it will be paid off and what a great feeling that will be!

I been driving this car for 2 months and I found it-s not really smooth whenever i cross the bump. Im not sure about other driver? Appreciate for comments from other drivers as well.
Other than that, some interior material such as pointed in this video is really cheap and sound cracking when the weather is hot! This is something I hate the most, because overall lexus do very well on noise isolated, so you definitely cant hear much noise from outside but you certainly hear the cracking sound from interior material from inside the car when it-s hot!

-Decompresses your compressed audio- Really? Does it now? I don't see how it could obtain information that simply isn't there, it might guess, but that would distort the sound more than the compressed one from the get go. Anyways, it's not like compressed vs uncompressed actually makes a difference when you are driving and paying attention to other cars and road noises and the like. Compressed will sound plenty good. Hell even with high end audiophile systems it's hard to tell the difference between 320 kbps and lossless.

There-s no arguing Lexus and Volvo does the best seats in the industry by far. They-re so good in fact, I-m sure they-ve sold a considerable number of cars based on that aspect alone. If you-ve never had a seat in one of those cars. it-s a revelation. I can tell you, even in my home I don-t have a chair, couch, or recliner that-s as comfortable. As an aside, the comfort of Lotus- Probax seats are mind boggling, especially given the fact they have no adjustability, and even less padding!

-. could this be an E-Class beater. - Does anyone really care?
If you are a fan of the three pointed swastika, that's what you will buy. If you want quality and reliability, you'll buy a Lexus.
Lets face it, most car reviewers would rather be reviewing a German made car, and none of them like the CVT gearbox,
which is actually very good indeed. Put a German badge on the grille, and it would outsell everything.

It's funny cause German are rumored to use high-quality materials until you look inside of some of the engines of some of the BMWs and Audis. Their most important components are made of plastic, while their exterior is made of high-grade materials. What is the point of having high-grade materials on the exterior when the car itself won't move half the time?

It would be nice to hear a review for a Lexus, which didn't have to include references to BMW's or Mercs.
People buy the Lexus for refinement and reliability, and because they don't want to follow the crowd and
buy a German car, I do wish reviewers would realize that. Most Lexus owners have grown out of the need
to know what the 0 - 60 time is,

it will never replace the gs450h. this is a great car for a taxi or a company fleet. nothing more. furthermore it's rather american in dimensions. i'm seeing it struggle in europe.
i'd say lexus is punishing the consumers on the European market with this car. because they didn't buy the GS450h (perfect drivetrain) in proper amounts.

Its more at home in US, looks like a pimped up Toyota Camry. Normal cheap Japanese plastic paradise inside. Will sell to UK buyers that think Moustaches look great. No diesel option, as they don-t do good modern diesels. Only people that will buy this are people that are clueless to German car perfection.
