That Honda isn t very well setup. Specially because the turbo isn t sized correctly and the power band is really bad. Also I m not sure if it s got the wago van awd system or crv (I d hope it was wago van viscous considering that s what the car is but many have been parted out for other awd builds so you never know) but it s not acting like it should. A wago van viscous coupler with swapped internals will lock up fast and hold all the power no issue but it looks like how crv dual pump works for 1 pull then overheats and it s fwd until it s cool again. I plan on building an awd k series car but will be going all billet transfer case and viscous etc so I won t have issues. The aftermarket for awd Honda stuff even B&R series has grown exponentially in the last 5 years and it s getting a lot more common to see. Pretty sure this bisi car was built awhile back when it wasn t as common so he might need to update the setup. Also again that turbo is way too big or at the very minimum the boost ramp needs corrected because it s almost not drivable. It would also help being able to rev the car out to 10-11k to use more of the power band.

the most useless 800hp it s why i hate modded cars. people don t know more than the manufacturers so leave the cars alone ffs. they civic needs a twin turbo kit, and more + shorter gears. atm it s useless. gearing so long you re out of boost when you shift, and boost too sudden so you have no grip when on it. spend the money on a better car.

It used to be interesting for jdm in the past when you can build a full blown b series that goes side by side by the likes of the audi by bits and bobs lying around the shed, it no longer is that interesting and rather pointless now that you have to fork out 40 grand to see that happen,

This is an example of too much power to use, the civic had every statistical advantage but either lost or was only slightly ahead of the Audi.
If you bought a b8 s4 and tuned it, I think you'd get the same times or better than the civic.

That turbo is way too big for that, you can hear the huge lag then boost spike then change and out of boost again. great for dyno numbers but linear power will always drill boost spikes on a proper race as proven in this video

. the most pointless 800+ hp ever. Until there will be a 20 gear sequential box on the market the effective rpm range from 7. 580 and 8. 230 will be no use at all. But at least one can tell it's got 830hp! 1! 1! eleven!

That crazy civic has a really small power band, it's not spending much time in the power band in the lower gears making it slower than its power figure would suggest, also probably got boost by gear to stop it spinning up.

Like other already commented, you cant short shift this car, need to ride on the limiter until the wheels stop spinning so the speed of the car matches the gearing. Then you would get on boost quicker next gear.

800hp pile of junk I was even rooting for the civic, but that thing is horrid. It sound like it just keeps falling out of boost, and the gear ratios are off. Either that or it's just being driven wrong.

In a highly boosted Honda, you need to bounce it off the rev limiter until you reach a certain speed, so when you shift, it will stay on boost. Shortshifting will kill the performance.

strange that the builder of the car didn't tell him not to short-shift the Civic that much. u hear it when he shifts as soon as he hits the limiter it falls of boost

It seems like that civic has 13 gears and the turbo redlines mid gears every time. like me launching the Zonda R with every aid off in Gran Turismo. So pointless.

IDK, spending 40k for this garbage is insane, but it would've been more interesting to see how it's compared to other 40k fast cars like marrieds AMG a class.

With my Eg6 400HP/950kg with b18 in FWD (60/130 mph 6. 80s, i win.
k20 Bad gearbox (too short gear) for him, turbo is to big, i need a better map.

He s not holding the gears long enough in the civic. He needs to hold it long so when he shifts it s in the boost for the next gear. Amateur

Yeah maybe the owner should have drove the Civic lol. No prep, spinning wheels for a quarter mile, shifting all screwy.
