People saying different driver different result. You can clearly see at 0: 49 that all cars are almost level and all are moving. The Yaris has amazing traction off the line thanks to the light weight and keen engine. It's a faster car than people are giving it credit for. German magazine AutoBild tested it 0-60mph (0-62mph 6 sec) in under 6 seconds and benched the engine at 220bhp.

For anyone wanting 1 of these cars and thinking the 208 is out due to being the slowest, the gti is also used the cheapest at around 7k for a good 14 plate low mileage car, add around 1. 5k on to this by adding a stage 2 tune with mods and the car is as fast as nearly all the cars and thousands less than the yaris and mini.

I think the 208 driver didn't know how to drive his car properly. My 208 is a bit faster than the fiesta. 1st and 2nd gear are very, crapy since they have reduced torque. But once the 3rd gear is in, the 208 is incredible. A friend with a pre facelift golf 7 gti is equal when both are in 3rd gear +

I'm sorry but look at the price and the total image of the 208 gti compared to all the others. Prices for mini's are out of this world and their interior looks like shit compared to the 208 and it costs 3-5 times more. Same for the polo. Peugeot's design from 2012+ are eating them all alive.

1: 22 Its all about reactiontime. The Yaris leaps away while the Fiesta is on Siesta. I know this is entertainment. But you can easily measure real 0-60 times without a dragrace and et some real times on the chart. This is entertainment and nothing more than that.

Sorry Mat, i feel this test is not equal or fair< in the real world the Polo GTI will walk all over all of the competition, just a shame the UK market is anti EU products, coming from some one that has massive respect- lets play fair?

When are we going to see an uncut real time drag race from the English car journalists? We are watching a race, not a ff movie. We want to see from a distance the whole race, we can see when a car pulls relative to other!

The yaris gr is 245bhp this looked like a special -MN- version yet only had 213bhp! This is a 1. 8 supercharged the normal car is 1. 6 turbo 3 cylinder
