Basic Duster is just a canvas for tuning
I think it was a Japanese companies who sold sports cars for minimum price. Like the wheels was all spare wheels. plastic bonnet was black only and colour was just white. Everything was basic and cheap.
But then, when tuners started to -pimp- the ride, car would transform into DK, Japanese light and drift show
So this is what Dacia do here. They selling basic cars as canvas for pimping the ride.
At least I hope for it.

Shut up mat! It is supposed to be a cheap car that has plastic materials that I don't mind(i don't know much about Dacia's but I'm using my knowledge) but it takes you properly over terrains and takes you finely from b to a, More like money well spend on the Dacia, Why are you mad with this? but of course if you want a more practical car thats kind of the same and made by the same brand, then check out the unveiled hybrid jogger.

I drive the Renault stepway 2012 1. 6L model and i cant believe they put roughly the same engine in a SUV! The engine is almost underpowered for my little car nevermind a SUV! Now sure u can get the 4WD model of the Duster but that lack of spare wheel is a deal breaker for me. Good thing i cant afford it tho. also my stepway has been to the bottom of hell and never complained, so aside from the size i dont see need for a Duster?

Carwow reviews, eh? Patronising pillock. Obviously these cars won-t fit in on a housing estate among the herds of heavily financed Evoques parked in front of the equally heavily mortgaged -Executive- 4 bedroom town houses. Here in the sticks, where we actually need a robust and good value car & have no interest in a facade of wealth or success, these Dacias are very attractive.

Yep, I'll just get my magic money tree and produce a couple of grand more.
I test drove a Duster the other day and was really impressed. Big boot, plenty of room in the back, decent tech in the front and engine was good. It's a no brainer. You have to live within your means and a Duster is within my means. This review was a tad snobby.

I'd rather have a Duster than a typical Ford focus or an astra. It's not a city car, it's a work horse and a very capable off roader, not a pretend SUV for people to show off in. Plus, it's 10x more reliable than a land rover. Reliability and capability over -soft touch materials- and silent electric windows any days.

Constant mention of budget yet its a 16 grand car. You could buy a decent 1-2yr old car for 16 grand rather than endure that fragile looking interior and budget driving experience. If it was a 10k new car like it used to be? Yes all day long but to be honest it's now 16k with a normal engine.

Yep. didn't think so. Went to Carwow, couldn't get a one year old Kadjar for anywhere near the 14. 5k we got our Bi-fuel cost effective SE edition of the Duster from, laughing all the way to the bank and the LPG pumps. sorry Mat, you are well too hung up on feeling up plastic car interiors.

A few years back, responding to negative reviews one of Dacia's management guys said -It's not a Mercedes, don't expect it to be like one since you pay a fraction of the price. - Of course you can get a way better car for that money if you choose second, but a new AWD of this size!

Always the same with car reviewers. -This 10K car does not have the goodies of a 20k car-. DUH! If reviewers advice were to be followed, average workers should buy 50K plus luxury cars with all the fruit. Unfortunately reviewers are -seduced- by luxury vehicles that THEY can afford.
