Actually initially disappointed - was hoping for longer battery range, greater visibility all around (larger/more windows, less visually intrusive seats, and pillar supports clog vision, seating closer to the window for the driver, and I thought there was supposed to be an enormous sunroof (maybe that is obscured or hidden. It seems like the free nature of the original inspiration has been corporatized and run through too many committees (or at least the wrong types of committees. - Just my initial reaction and I'll eat my words if I-m wrong when it's fully revealed.

I am surprised that Volkswagen only does 208 miles per range. European vehicles don't seem to get as good as Tesla does here in the US which is over 300 and that seems to be the benchmark here in the United States is over 300 miles to the range till you need to charge it up again, I found Volkswagen seems like they don't seem to be as concerned about getting either MPG or in this case the electric range out of their cars the best they can get. For some reason they're not worried about that. They rather be worried about gadgetry and other stuff and that surprises me

I want it longer for the bigger battery more cargo area and dual motor for all wheel drive and be able to tow 10, 000 lbs. 6 inches of lift and the ability to have 50 amp 240 volt outlet and 6 120v 20 amp 120v duplex outlets. I have Mad Scientist ideas of what I could do with it and I would get rid of my old 1/2 ton Chevy van I am hanging onto for dear life. I hate that manufacturers have quit making our loved vans and gone to what we have now. I miss my old VW van I had forever.

I'll wait to see the California version, as it is too hard to envision what the adventure van version will look like with the camouflage and lack of rear windows. It will also want a significant power boost before I would be interested. I currently have a Tesla M3P, so I am used to 3. 2 sec to 60 mph. I could easily live with twice that (6. 4 sec, but at nearly 10 sec this vehicle is a pig. Your review of this vehicle is the best I have seen so far. Thanks.

Uh no.
Okay I'm going to try to be polite as possible here, but this vehicle is horrendous.
Its nothing like the prototype given in 2017 that actually looked like the classic bus.
This looks like a less sleek Pontiac silhoutte and Pontiac has been out of business for 10 years.
VW totally phoned this one in (expression for half-assed effort.
This is not what we wanted, but you can wait for the sales to tank to tell you that.

So many new cars these days are covered in LEDs, daytime running lights and headlights, taillights etc. - I wonder which manufacturer will be first to have their badge as an LED. I think the VW badge would look quite cool as an LED. As would Mercedes, Audi, Tesla, Citroen, Toyota etc. (probably all the ones that are fairly basic line-art. Actually quite looking forward to seeing that. I'd be VERY surprised if it doesn't happen.

You know what! WHAT A EFFIN' WASTE OF TIME. IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING REMINISCENT OF THE LEGENDARY BUS.
It is a golf Cart. 250 miles radius? 0ver 50 grand? i rather find a late 60's and restore it put a strong motor in it and actually enjoy the Voyage in a Vehicle that has Soul, down to Florida for example. our Honda Odyssey gets close to 400 highway miles and has more of a Cool Vibe than this Golf Cart

As a generation six t6 owner I'm very excited about this, all but the towing limit. I use my bus for the family, camping and towing the classics / race car to events. This tow limit will keep me in the diesel
Do love the styling and in a classic colour scheme and wheels I can see an order placed on a higher power version assuming it can then tow more

Greetings. U. S. Viewer here. My Partner and I want one of these, badly. We're impatiently waiting on VW to release it in the states, so the me firsts can feed the stealerships inevitable desire to gouge the foolish who are willing to spend too much. Once the initial fervor dies off, we're going to replace our aging Nissan LEAF with one.

As a Honda Odyssey owner with two kids and two dogs, I absolutely want to an ID Buzz. Needs it has to have before I trade in my current van would be a fold flat third row, comparable cargo volume, and a 300+ mile range per charge. 200+ miles for living in Southern California is just not enough when fully loaded with bikes and the family.
