The Corvette I discovered in the Gran Turismo game, it is the pathway to challenging race cars without the price burden of owning a race car. Great respect for it because on the track with sticky tyres, stiffened suspension and a sports NA tune up, it can hold it's own against many cars that cost 5 - 10 times more. Mad respect for it, I'm impressed how the game never exaggerated it's real world potential.

What is the point of the countdown in rolling races? If it is supposed to be a half-mile rolling race then use a start marker and cut the nonsense and all the issues with the countdown (including the fact that it is not a half-mile race if Mat gets to dictate where or when the race starts.
Also if this comes across as too salty, I love the videos though.

Not normally a fan of American cars but these two show the old stereotypes are a thing if the past, would prefer the Ford but have to say that Corvette is a lot of car for the money and 670 bhp from an NA 5. 5 litre is seriously impressive not just for an American car but for any car

If you just want to go faster for less money, get a Plaid. Id take the GT anyday because it has history, racing pedigree and will only go up in value. Would be cool to see the mk4. Dont like the chev whatsoever - its not even really a corvette anymore.

Matt we all absolutely love your content, keep up the great work but if I may suggest you incorporate the 100th decimal place in the quarter mile time? Seeing just how close it actually was I think is pretty interesting. Just a suggestion

I think I would rather have the C8 Z06 I have had a lot of cars but my favourite car until they turned most electric was always the Vauxhall Astra range, SRI being the best, that Z06 is so versatile though.

Comments be like zo6 is cheaper and ford gt is just abit faster not worth it i hate break it to you but 250gto is way slower than both of these cars and owners aren't complaining

Perfect example of just because you can afford it, don't mean you can drive it. Dudes a nerd. Could have brake boosted and easily have gassed the vette each time from a roll.

11. 2 in the Z06 is very slow for quarter. I've seen 10. 8 on unprepped surface and 10. 44 on prepped. GM lists it at 10. 6.
Either way, great video.
