These statistics are meaningless bollocks, cars such as the Corolla, Golf, Escort, Civic and Accord are merely ones that have continued a moniker onto fundamentally totally different cars that have been introduced. By far the genuine highest selling car of all time is the Beetle which essentially went unaltered for decades (excluding the hideous retro version) albeit a few in Central and South America eventually were water cooled and there were some revisions such as suspension, steering and slightly varying body panel sizing. Nearly everyone can recognise a true Beetle irrespective of when it was built but many people would struggle to recognise ALL the multitude of releases carrying the names Corolla, Escort, Golf etc. because those respective names were just banged on various utterly different releases.

The most popular selling supercar is Ford Mustang I do see them but I see Porsches every week almost every day and with Mustangs like once in a week or more and it will probably be my neighbour's one. I see more Porsches than Mustangs as of in Cambridgeshire I do see McLarens daily whenever I go out of the city which is in Cambridgeshire I see a lot of Audi R8's too with Lamborghini I saw about 5 Lamborghini Urus and about 2 Huracans so not many but maybe if I visit central London so there I will see a lot. :)

What exactly is the definition of a supercar? A set of conditions, or rules or something, NOT including incredibly subjective terms like -soul- and -excitement-. Gimme performance numbers - what does a car have to be able to do to be considered -super-, or even -hyper-? Tell me why the R8 is a -supercar- but the Model S is not?

131, 477, 280 x 3. 5 = 460, 170, 480 ft
44, 000, 000 x 12 feet approx on average, allowing for the shorter earlier cars and the longer later cars = 528, 000, 000 so slight exaggeration.
P. s is the lockdown over yet?

Oops, the Mustang was never considered a sports car until maybe a few years after they lost the live rear axle. it was a pony car/muscle car. Sorry Matt. you lost on that one. Of course the Vette was always a sports car.

So sad that Honda doesn't sell the Accord anymore in Europe. Got one of the last Accord 180 hp dtec as a caravan. I don't understand Honda. It's a nearly perfect car. Never would drive another car instead of it.

Nr 1 spot is wrong. It's the Golf. Toyota has named allot of different cars Corolla, but Golf has stayed the same. James May disagrees with you Mat! (James May: Cars of the people)

not really a fair comparison. e. g. the old corvette and the new one is a completely different car. it shares the name, v8, and rear drive. everything else is different
