Mat has got his hands on yet ANOTHER car- But we have to say, this might be the most exciting one yet! That-s right, his new long-termer is the carwow Car of the Year 2021, the Toyota GR Yaris! After reviewing it last year, Mat pretty much fell in love with it on the spot - so he just had to get one in for a few months! Now we know he loved it when he got his hands on it to review, but that was only for one day! So how will he find it when he-s living with it as a daily driver? Will the love hold strong? Or will he miss his RS6 or A45 S? You'll have to keep watching as he takes you through what he loves, likes and hates with the new GR Yaris!

Matt, that pedal spacing bit you don-t like, well it-s on purpose. I-m sure you know, but for other readers, rally drivers do a lot-a lot-of -left foot braking. - The spacing to the left actually makes it easier for that technique, it-s not a track thing so much, but a slippery snow and gravel road thing. Throttle mashed or consistent, then modulate the brakes with your left foot while turning. More brakes turn in, less brakes lets the car drift. It-s magic rally driving stuff, mate; . (Readers who not believe me? Go to a rally school, it will literally be one of the first things taught)

Suggestion was to avoid the Convenience pack and go for the Circuit pack, but wouldn't the Convenience pack variant make more sense for a daily driver? Think that a bit more comfort/ride height and road tyres might make more sense for regular use. Looking at the used cars for sale though, it appears that the vast majority have taken your advice. Or perhaps the reason that there are more Circuit versions for sale it could be they have realised that for road use it's a mistake.

Hello Matt, what about dyno, it seem on the comparo of the Civic it actually has more power than advertised. maybe. By the way excellent content! and what about day to day normal driving, some fun snow and actually check how the all wheel drive perform on rollers like 3, 2, 1 wheel on traction and the other spinning. Its allready know that its a perfomer but living with it or do some rally trails maybe. Go on search of tunners and what had achieved!

A very beneficiary video with excellent narration from Matt. thanks a lot to him. a lovely performance car. but it's dimensions are to be changed for a more comfortable and enjoyable driving in the city traffic too. height is to be1. 48 cm. long 4. 04 cm and width 1. 90 cm. on the other side. rear window and side windows are to be 12 larger as for me. in the end, it is worth buying. a precious product of Toyota. ck. As a canadian I cant have fun cars vecause the snow do not allow me to buy a rwd car. All the fun cars I can get are awd cars but the only one I can have is a subaru wrx sti wich is way too much expensive and unreliable. I can't wait for the corolla GR to come out in 2023 to buy it. I really want a manual funny car and performance car but I dont have a lot of choices

9: 52 it reminds me of my wife's 2005 Corolla hatch, that area around the seal collects all types of green waste if the car is parked outside. When you wash it, the filth runs down the taillights. The window seals and the pedals look almost straight out of 2001-2007 Impreza, which they likely are modelled on, given that Toyota own a large chunk of Subaru.

this car is something i like been looking around for a 2 door coupe hatch but all these manufacutors wanna make them as a 4 door which i dont like i like the look for a 2 door hatch just like my EF hatch been lookin to replace it with one identical and this one really intrigues me

I'd sell my M2 to buy this if it were available in the US. No joke. Small AWD sports cars with a manual transmission are a dying breed. I have high hopes for the GR Corolla. On another note, it'd be nice if VW would kindly give us some hard buttons/knobs in the Mk8 R for 2023.

Always makes me gurn when people talk about how easy or hard it is to -heel n toe-. theyre road cars and how many people are gunna be heeling n toeing their way around the outer ring road or up the high streetand thats if they even know what it means. keep it real Matt.
