Station wagons take curves like a magnet good control and wagons never go off road on bends I had two a ford escort and a falcon xy both could take gravel roads without even a slightest of back sliding. long bodied sedans throw their back very quickly.

Number 11: Super Gramps. MCM built a 2003 Subaru Legacy/Liberty Wagon with a EZ36 engine from a Tribeca, a six speed and drivetrain from a WRX, and added a turbocharger. With E85, it makes 370 hp at the wheels, and runs in the low 12's at the quarter mile.

The Volvo 850R wagon that was raced in the British Touring Car Championship ended up being banned because the other teams said that a station wagon configuration was a unfair aerodynamic advantage so Volvo switched to the 850R sedan.

Volvo only entered the 850 wagon (they're called estates over here in the UK) in the 1994 season. From 1995 onwards, they used the sedan. Honda also entered a civic wagon (tourer) in 2014, and managed to win a few races with it.

okay they are all wagons but why were they jumping from custom cars to race cars to production cars? Also how is the Sugary wagon not on the list? its fan base dwarfs all the cars on the list combined.

Volvo used the saloon version (rather than the estate) of the 850 in the 95' and 96' BTCC seasons. The estate only ran in '94 where it finished 8th in the manufacturers' championship.
