Doing This Will Make Your Car Smell Great mrtzampos: Hello dear Scotty. Now that Google+ is out, will you take questions here? Cause I want your opinion about car undercoating. I want a quieter car ride specially at highways. I want to minimize wind noise, road noise etc any outside noise as much as possible. Quieter tires little helped. So I read about undercoating. Is it better than sticking soundproof mats at bare floor? Cause mats are really a pain to do it and except that for sure a plastic will brake, I dont know about how the first layer of carpet will sit with the soundproof mats. Finally the clutch pedal. It will be higher at pressed and there a chance of not engage the clutch as it should. Thank you very much. Sorry for the long question.

Another filter they dont tell you about at the dealership. All this time Ive just been replacing the engine air filter. . Why cant they just tell you all the maintenance up front at the dealership. like give you a list or something, instead of you having to find out the hard way. This angers me some. I always wanted to know why the air in the car kept getting dustier and stale over the years, but its like you need to be in the know. Again, I cant help but feel really put out about this, and Im over 50 now.

You can also go to a health-food store or a pharmacy and get 100% concentrate peppermint oil. Put a few drops of that inside the car (and maybe on the air vents. Not only will your car smell minty-fresh, but itll repel rodents. (The rodent thing is my primary reason btw. I prefer cleaning to trying to cover up smells, but the critters cause damage and were the source of stuff getting into the car) It may be a bit strong for the first two or three days, but after that itll be at a reasonable level.

Hey Scotty, my pastors leaving to build a church in Chicago and will be selling his 97 Toyota Camry with 89k miles for less than 2, 500. I was wondering if its worth buying and selling my 2009 Pontiac g6 gt with 149k miles. No issues with the Pontiac but was curious if I should mileage is half and for less than 2. 5k it has has me doing some thinking. Thanks for your posts glad I found your channel you have saved a few of my friends from buying some POS cars

Hi Scotty I bought a preowned 2014 BMW 320xi A/T 2 years ago(maybe I wouldnt have bought it if I watched your video before but anyway it happened) fortunately it runs well so far, no oil leak, engine oil and oil filter changed about every 8 months(or 8k miles) but now the car is 5 years old. The car has driven 32k miles, got new tires and brake pads and rotors last January, but Im wondering when the time of the transmission oil change is?

Whenever possible, use a cabin filter with carbon. There are spray cleaners and sprays at Autozone or Oriellys where you can spray and treat the evaporator and the filter. Run the fan with the opening uncovered and spray it with Lysol or other cleaner. If you live in a hot and humid area, replace at the beginning of the season and again at the end of Summer. Otherwise, you pouring mold and mildew into your cars interior.

Hi Scotty. I need your advise on my parents 2003 Nissan Altima 2. 5. It start ok and runs ok but sometimes it start running rough and engine shaking. First I thought it could be spark plugs (67 K miles) and replace them but issue is still there. I am afraid it could be some emission control issue but they cant spent a lot of money on fixing it and that is why I am trying to help as much as I can: -) Thank you

Replace the cabin air filter between 10k and 30k miles. well, unless you buy a Ram Truck pre-2019. The have the spot of it but no filter (or filter door. I just got a kit that is the FCA original part for the door and a new filter. There is even a spot outlined on the heater/cooler box behind the glove box that is the same shape as the filter door. Im installing mine when it warms up a bit more.

Really enjoy your info. I have been a car guy all my life and I learn a lot from you. when you talked Optima batteries I only owned one and it got down to zero charge and I could not get it to take a charge I had to go to the dealer where he used a special charger. that was the old ones. glad I stayed away from them. I got to check my interior air filter. I did not know it existed. THANKS SCOTTY
