stradman Here is the untold truth about YouTube. So I am a video producer with skills to make solid Youtube videos. I happen to make corporate videos for a an IT company. I get paid 200, 000 a year with full (excellent benefits. To achieve this, you would need to have 200, 000, 000 views a year. Thats 200 million views So take my advice as a veteran at this stuff, make a living and do the fun stuff on the side for extra cash. Your life will be better. I drive a Range Rover on the weekends to do my fun projects. Its a much better life.

Hey TheStadman nice vid with nice cars. I'm a car nut as well and videographer. Maybe I'll start video'ing and posting more of my cars and coffee events. I did post my first vlog with some nice cars in it. I'm not sure I will do many more vlogs though as they are fun to create but they take a bunch of time to video and edit and I have a lot of experience at both so we'll see if I have enough free time to do more. Also, thanks for details on the youtube income as that was interesting. All the best to you and your future Cheers

It's easy to create revenue, it's much harder to create profit, true. Your lambo vids are a good example I suppose hahaSame here on a more modest scale, if I buy some popular tech thing and unbox that, I get lots of views. However if I just do a vlog of going to the park and talking about the weather, I get zero views: DBuying tech stuff costs money, going to the park costs nothing.

I'm a little confused. I viewed this video based on the title, but you don't seem like you are able to focus on the topic. Your talking, then it's silence and cars, more talking and then silence and cars. You seem like a nice guy based on the talking, but I can view car videos elsewhere. I was curious if it was practical to make a living off of YouTube.

how about the risk by being a youtuber? why is it none of Youtuber spoke of it? don't tell it doesn't have one, or I'll be forced to wonder if we still living in the same world. besides the opinion from netizen? yeez. they were the most ruthless albeit democratic citizens of the world. I'm an advocate for sensible risk assessment for things

So, what I'm hearing is that it's really, really hard to make a decent living by doing just YouTube. Seems many of the vloggers you see making lots of videos are guys who have made lots of money doing something else and now just do YouTube for fun and some extra spending money. It's really just a look at me hobby for the rich.

You'd basically have to make one video every month that get's at least 1 million views to even be able to afford to own a house and live on your own. Doesn't really seem worth it to me. Making a million + view video is not something anybody can do and trying to do that consistently every month would be tough.

id like to ask. i want to produce youtube videos. however my face is ugly and unpleasant to be in videos lol, so i wont be the star, ill be the producer and director. i see most selfmade utube videos produced by 1 person only, as director as star as producer. i need ur opinion. thanks.

The longer ppl watch each video the less time they'll have for seeing the adverts that pay for them. So the paradox is that ppl can earn the most by making boring videos everyone wants see the first few seconds of. Or by making lots of very short ones. It's not rocket science
