please do not put big rims on it. we were 4x4ing with a Wrangler that had 18 flashy rims with offroad tires and it was limited on its potential. a smaller rim with more tire gives you benefits when airing down and a better selection of tires. snow wheeling is the ultimate adventure and being able to double your foot print by airing down makes all of the difference in the world.

Hey Stradman, if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for your Wrangler. I too have been looking for awhile now, but they seem to be asking a lot of money. Am debating now about simply buying a new one. Also, the new model is coming soon so either I love it, and buy one of those, OR this model year will go on sale. Been following you for a while now and I must admit i'm more interested in the Wrangler and exploring offroad that I ever was in the Lambo. Words of advise is don't go too crazy with the lift or the tires. 3 inches and 35's is pretty much all you will ever need. Also add a Strong set of rock slider to your list of body protection and a real set of skid plates underneath.

Stradman, welcome to the Jeep Life. Now you must mod the crap out of it You should have gone Rubicon. Just for the lockers, and for the simple fact you are stateside. So what if it's 5-7 stacks more, you don't have to pay ridiculous inspection fees or insane taxes on it. I had to settle for a sport unlimited as I'm located in Japan.

im debating between Challenger SRT8 or Wrangler Unlimited as daily driverboth have incredible resale value retention & fun factor, yet terrible JD Power dependabilityevery now and then a used Cayenne GTS or Turbo pops up around the same pricemy 1st time paying a note, Id better love my investment, or Im gonna regret it. so torn

Welcome to the (J)ust (E)mpty (E)very (P)ocket club I hope your JKU has 3. 73 gears and not the 3. 21 gears. If you have the 3. 21 gears, adding 35 tires and a lift kit&bumpers, will turn your 6speed into a 5speed transmission. You will only need to use 6th gear on your road-trips across Kansas/Nebraska.

I don't know how those engines are setup but I would suggest getting a snorkel box for your intake because blasting through puddles like that can be fun but it only takes sucking up water in a big puddle and you hydrolock your engine and you can bet most likely it's not covered under warranty.

I wanted an auto to as that's what my last 4 door and 2 door jk's were was but after having the manual for about a week, I'm in love haha plus the gas mileage is 1000% times better compared to the auto which can't seem to find which gear it should be in ever lol
