In this video, we travel to the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad in Chama, New Mexico to see their annual winter holiday trains. Locomotive 489 puts on quite a show as it works hard up the grade along the Chama River, steam billowing all the way. This is a trip you don't want to miss!

Thank you so much for all your videos! My 2 year old is OBSESSED with trains and I love how that's all these videos are - just trains, not excess music or graphics. We rode the Cumbres & Toltec train in October. He was in heaven!

Please do a HO Scale Christmas tree train, or Christmas trains video next week. I wish to railfan around the country just like this. I only have railfanned in Fullerton, Riverside (CA, Oceanside, & Perris CA. Great video BTW. :)

There's just something magical about steam in the snow. From the Western Maryland to the Cumbres and Toltec, it always looks like something out of a beautiful work of art

If you have never taken this train you are missing one of the most beautiful and scenic rides in the US, Wonderful in September with the Aspens changing.
