Secondly, the rainforests as lungs of the world myth is popular in certain circles, but it's not true. Rainforests have only been around for between 12, 000 to 16, 000 years; that may sound like a long time but on evolutionary scales, it's an eyeblink. Ecosystems, local & regional, have been around long before the first rainforest began--over 3. 5 billion years before it. You could make a far better case for the ocean being the lungs of the world since the ocean has a far stronger effect on weather patterns & environmental vigor than the rainforests ever will. Also, we've been hearing about the Amazon rainforest being cut down at high rates since the 80's. If that were true, the entire forest would be gone by now.

As for the rest of Freelee's video, I do like the mandated parental test idea if nothing else. If you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em!

Shocked by the animosity to this simple proposal. It literally has nothing to do with veganism and everything to do with overpopulation, especially by those least adequate to provide for their children. Sorry, but love never fed anyone. Vasectomy IS a very minimally invasive procedure after which you will notice - NOTHING, except not having unintended pregnancies. How is subjecting an unwitting child to a life of depravity your right? That is evil.
This is a simple solution that would go a long way to reducing hunger, health care expenses and extending the time that humans can expect this planet to support them. It is quite easily reversible for those who can prove the ability to actually provide a good life for their children.

50 football fields a day. hmm. your rhetoric falls flat when you realize, there isn't enough Rain Forest in all the world to have the size mass being torn down.
Also, a recent study has shown, that since the early 1900's, Afforestation is taking place. In Great Britain and the Americas, there has been an Increase of 80% more Trees & Plant Life since the start of the Industrial Revolution.
You need to do more fact checking, and less time internalizing made up statistics by Conservation Extremists.
