wat u say makes sense most of the time if ur family was rich and established, but there r factors that makes staying with family not desireable or good idea, not necessarily the establishment trying to brainwash ppl into going away and trying to make it on their own. If your family is poor or avg but u have gr8 talent/skill that makes u stand out above most and u wish to do something different in your life than your family, that would b one or two reasons to leave the family. Sure, if ur family was a billionaire, it's 99. 9% that your best bet and decision is to stay in the family business, as it's hard to do better than a billionaire. Another reason to leave would b if your parents were abusive or very negative ppl and u wanted to get away from that cuz u r a very diff positive person. But u have to remember one very critical thing when u decide to leave, that u r aware of wat our true reality is, as in, is our captialism really capitalism, as in, is it truelly a free market where u can compete and do your best and feel u will have fair chance to compete and become a success, or is it jst a farce and it's never about skills/talents, but who u socialize and kissA and give up maybe even your soul to become rich.
Remember, wat u did in the past is wat is allowing u to do wat u do, the insane strength, stamina, experience, and will to go out and build your home like u r doing now. Without all the martial arts training, the gardening, the entrepreneurial spirit, u wouldn't have been able to do wat u do now. If u don't want or didn't want to do wat u do today, then ok, u r right, u should have maybe taken a diff path when u were late teen and 20s.

Jake, the things you make your comparisons to make one think that you are still living a life of fantasy, lollipops, and cartoons. You're not the only one who's lost everything two or more times including two failed marriages where not only did I have my heart severely broken, but also every cent I had was stolen leaving me destitute and in debt for over $343K in 1974. She also aborted my child that I had spent thousands trying to have with her for almost 2 years to run off with a man older than her or my father. I met and married the best woman in my life and have shared our lives together for over 46 fantastic years. In that time we became parents of two great children and 4 beautiful granddaughters. I didn't get away from corporate life until I retired at 58 years of age and started full-time running a company I owned full-time, just to keep myself busy. It started getting so big I soon found myself with several hundred employees and a multimillion dollar payroll. I didn't go to college, I went to war in Vietnam. I didn't stay home on the family farm either. In fact, I never went back because my dad always beat the heck out of me and I was afraid that I'd make my mom a widow if he ever tried to do it again. Most of us have had to face a lot harder problems out here than you have Jake, but to me how you get through those experiences and tribulations build your character and integrity as not only a man, but a person. After listening to the saga of Jake, you're down a few points with me.

I am 51 years old and only just starting my life! I started off in a one bedroom flat when I moved out of home at the age of 21. where the washing machine was in the kitchen and the grey water entered into the sink! Will never forget that! Now I'm in a very nice house! Sadly though its public housing where is 25% of my income! Would have loved too owned a house in my time but sadly it was never to be! My work life never turned out for me either! I was always being passed over for someone younger and beautiful and therefore I found it very prejudiced! I am only just now getting involved with my local community centre which is only a 5 minute walk from my place two days a week! It's not volunteering just yet. just participating. going at my own pace so to speak! I do see something coming from it I just don't know what! Yet despite the fact I am comfortable right now. I still want too uproot everything and own a block of land and just have my own space for me! But now I'm torn between being comfortable. or start all over again in building up the lifestyle I truly want! It's a bit of a dilemma with me atm! But atm I would just like too say. I'm just cruising! LOL! Cheers!

I’m a 66 year old Canadian woman who worked for over 30 years for the government along with my husband a police officer. Unfortunately he passed away at 53 of ALS 13 years ago. All to say that we raised 2 kids, paid our home, bought a cottage, that we renovated and we lived a very comfortable life. I used to like your posts as they showed you working the land, building your homes (both locations) and the progress reminded me of our younger years when we renovated the cottage. It was also nice to see the life with your family. . Now I find all you do is talk about making it at 35 and how difficult it is for people to live. Hello, you need cities, farmers, lawyers, doctors, teachers etc. etc. etc. Not everyone can just pickup and go live in the woods! You might not like what I’m saying but trust me when I say people will unfollow you if you keep talking like Debbie downer. Sorry, but it had to be said. Delete this post if you don’t like it.

Jake, the way you describe the value of family life and how you wish you could be surrounded by family and have a strong support system in order to have more kids, is exactly the life that orthodox jewish communitis live. I live in NY and this is the lifestyle we embrace. Our values center around children, family and intergenerational holidays, where grandparents uncles aunts and cousins see each others all the time. The wholesomeness of our lifestyle is something most outsiders dont appreciate and rather mock. But its refreshing to hear you praising family values. I just had my 6th child and i consider myself so so blessed. I dont think i couldve done it without having the support of my family members but having large families enables the next generation to continue embracing the same tradition and values. Family is the most beautiful gift and you, Jake, are creating it now for your children. Kudos to you! Keep going!

It is funny that you said, the original Superman with Christopher Reeves in it. I'm much older than you and used to watch the actual original Superman in B&W with George Reeves on TV in the early 1950's. That guy in that TV show looked like he was in his 40's when he began being a super-hero. (He was actually 37 when he became Superman, somehow people looked older in the 1950's. Also, you may not know if we are real or if we are AI, but it doesn't matter. Statistically, if we watch, we LIKE, and we leave comments, you are going to earn $ for your family and to maintain your lifestyle of choice. Be careful not to alienate your fans by assuming things about them. I doubt AI is watching your videos and commenting on them. AI is too busy trying to scam the rest of us with fake news stories and Bigfoot sightings. Speaking of Bigfoot, ever seen him in your neck of the woods Asking for a friend. Lol.

a comment from someone further down the line from you (who has been watching you since AZ, about your expressed regrets: I agree with you that humans are mostly not living the way that is going to succeed in the long term (and family legacy, no matter what it is made up of, is invaluable. However, I hope you can or will see that, in the times we live in (which we cannot totally escape, no matter how we live, that your devotion to the hard work/martial arts/ambition that you put in when you were younger have directly forged the ability you now have to work harder and more successfully AND MORE WISELY than most people in this country. It seems like you can't possibly read all these messages, but I've said this to you in a comment before, I am very very proud of the learning I have seen you do over the course of these years, and of the graceful way you have been humbled and become a good man. KUDOS!

You have the best of life, of life, right now! You don't have to stop complaining about the lack of sleep, the lack of time, or impossible to get anything done, but try to remember just how good you really have it! You have it! The life you wanted, the life you sought, the life that rewards you every day! See the rewards! Everybody has to get bumped around a little to grow up because you can't teach the wisdom so easily to others, or learn it either, until you experience it slowly over time. To be smart and wise at 20 isn't really possible. The best you can do is to be as efficient as possible, constantly seek wisdom and excellence, and enjoy the view you have, wherever you are! LOL! You and Nicolle are my heroes, keep up the good works!

Jake, there have been some recent publications about how the U. S. Notion of leaving home at the age of 18 is a U. S. Corporate scam to exploit more inexperienced workers. Just one more reason you are where you need to be and justification for it.
As far as your new home, it escapes me why youre doing part wood part steel container but maybe it will make sense when we see the finished work.
Lastly, if you can easily do this, have a third Emergency Wood Shed far away from the others and upwind from the trees, say by the shoreline somewhere. If theres ever any kind of emergency in dead of Winter and need to get away from the main compound you will need readily available dry wood to at the very least keep warm with.

Its tough for you now with little ones so close. It will het easier! Don’t stop now! You do not have family around you, but you are strong and will start your own traditions. You will not go back to the life without children and will realize how wonderful family is! Being number 13 of 14, i know my sisters and brothers are the greatest gift God gave is. We all worked on our farm doing what we needed to do with time to play and make so many memories that will be told 14 different joyful ways, enough to fill your heart for a lifetime! Sadly i only had 4 children. They are grown now. What i wouldn’t do to live it all again. Nothing better! You will never regret having a large family.

Having more than 2 or 3 children isn't necessarily connecting to nature. If everyone had 4 children, the world would b overpopulated quickly. And when the limit the planet can handle is reached, the collective must have no more than 2 children to maintain. U see how nature prevented will prevent u from having more than 2 children when the limit is reached. Nature allowed u to have many children if the planet could support it, but it then limited u. As if u don't do wat nature limits u to, then nature will bring famine and disease to kill off the excess.

I have watched you when you divorced the 2nd time. I did enjoy watching the car living to yurt. I knew Nicole that she wanted marriage and children. I didn't see you being a father or gr at husband at that time. You seemed self-centered and childish. I still liked you both and was a follower. After Fox was born I saw a father step up to the responsibilities. This was heartwarming to witness. You became a thoughtful husband and father. Very glad you see it also. Thank you for showing that we can continue learning and grow as we age.

You guys are doing such an amazing job building all the things that you are and your amazing family that you have. We are dead. We have no mortgage. I haven't had a mortgage for 27 years and credit card free we pay everything in cash. We roll our own foodand we do all our repairs our stuff around our home. My dad taught me a lot when I was growing up, whatever he was doing, I would be right there with him very interested in Building and making things. I am a female 72 years old and I am extremely independent.

Fall prey to the American propaganda What exactly do you mean by fall Pray to it by having a better life by having a better future for your family your wife you would’ve never met your kids who you would’ve never had Your family falling for the American propaganda made you who you are and you should be extremely grateful for that. I’m at a complete loss you came back to your natural roots. You should be grateful that they took you away from them so you could find them

Hi! I miss your weekly videos so much and I absolutely understand the time it must take to edit. Of course family is more important! Have you ever considered hiring an editor I’ve actually never heard of such a thing for content creators until just last week. I have no idea how it would work but I’d love to see more content without putting you out or taking you away from your family.
