FunForLouis & ALFIE may be in terrible danger! They need to watch this video now before it's too late. Archangel: the medical term for protein deficiency is Kwashiorkor. please don't disseminate false information. if anyone reading this suspects b. s. from freelee or durianrider, please investigate further and follow your intuition. Freelee and Durianrider have also been known to discredit the use of Cacao, saying that theobromine is a neuro-toxin, and opting for Carob instead. It only takes two or three clicks to discover that Carob ALSO contains theobromine, as well as caffeine, and BOTH provide beneficial nutrition for humans. what works for some, however, might not work for others. go with your gut, and with the signs your body provides.

1) its classified as protien deficiency, that is a thing, not some made of term 2) no you don't get protien from your own flesh, you get protien from things like most meats, you can get a lot of protien from peanut butter 3) its been scientifically prooven we can't live without protien and that a lot of veggies don't have enough of it, some do, some don't 4) there are supplements needed for a veagen diet the most common one is b12 because that vitamin comes from meat and out bodies can't produce it naturally, so therefore, you need vitamins for it

Not to be rude but here comes the following:
The very few vegans I've met in real life have had a far from impressive muscle mass.
If we just take a look at you and your boyfriend durianrider, you almost look like stick figures.
Seriously, if we take vegan gains for example, even though he've been training pretty much longer than me I already train with heavier weights and more reps than he does (at least in most cases.
Also it's interesting that you talk about youtubers that promotes eating disorders when you obviously do it yourself.

Not all of us can live on a no-meat diet. Different bodies have different needs. Some people struggle with blood sugar and insulin issues, and meat not only plays a pivotal role in keeping their body satiated, but has nutrients that non-meat products don't have, or do not have in sufficient amounts. Not all bodies can thrive on a no-meat diet, period. The opposite is also true: some bodies have a hard time processing meat and nutritional supplements are sufficient for maintaining health. Humans are designed to eat meat, we were evolved are eating it

And secondly: i want to see your blood test in 20 years because with all those carbs you are probably slowly building up a hyperinsulinemia (high insulin) and insulin resistance = diabetes.
Haha and what i wonder is, don't you have obstipation from eating all these bananas? An other sign that you vomit the stuff out of your mouth.

I spent so much money on vegan protein shakes and meat replacements when I first went vegan, and then I found out it wasn't necessary (after researching a lot. I feel a lot better not eating that garbage, as well. PLANTS HAVE ENOUGH PROTEIN!
PS Chia tastes like dirt lol Lot's of people like them though, so maybe I'm just weird.

I believe it was in forks over knives where I learnt the only reason people say you need meat for protein is cos the animals bodies/flesh makes proteins. So I thought, Well I'm an animal too, so surely my body is making it's proteins in a similar way as long as I eat enough of what I'm designed to eat. The truth sets ya free people.

So - in terms of protein intake - what would you recommend to someone who does physically demanding activities daily; that consist of heavy lifting and require a lot more muscle and strength than the average person?
Eg. Construction worker/Labourer, high volume weightlifting.

reply

No protein is not important, but B12 is. You can get seriously ill from B12 deficiency and get irreversible nerve damage. Finding a good source of it is vital. I use nutritional yeast and add it to my pasta sauces and soups, but there are shots and pills to supplement as well.

What if you are on dialysis? My friend is on it and her doctor says it's leeching her protein away. He says she needs to eat meat to make up for it. And that she has too much potassium in her blood. She really wants to switch back to a vegan diet. What can she do?
