Freelee, if you approached everyone with this kind of attitude, you would be more supported. This is how the vegan community should act! You should love and support one another, and understand that someone who is new to a vegan lifestyle, that has lived a non-vegan lifestyle their entire lives, can slip up and fall back into a routine of comfort. Because let's face it, even if someone is embracing the vegan lifestyle for ethical reasons, being a vegan is super hard! It's so easy to not be vegan in the society that we live in today. Sometimes it will take being a partial vegetarian, then mainly a vegetarian, then a full vegetarian and somewhat vegan, and then finally a full vegan, and that should be okay. And it is okay. I understand that you make sure people don't see the facts in dim light, but the brightest light possible. But maybe if someone has had their eyes closed their whole life, don't shine a light that bright immediately. It may force them to shut their eyes again, never to reopen them, because that light was just too bright the first time.

Freelee, after watching your YouTube videos all night long, and thinking about veganism for a while before hand, I really would love to become vegan. I love animals more than anything, sometimes much more than humans! But I feel like I don't have the means for this lifestyle, which could be just an excuse. But I keep thinking that I'm going to have to buy all of these things that are super expensive and I currently don't make any money at all. I've commented on another of your videos explaining that I have PCOS (ploy cystic ovarian syndrome) and I wish that I could just have you here to personally guide me on what to do and just stay until I've got it down pat and it's easy for me. I know that's unrealistic and won't happen, but a girl can wish and dream, right? ;) I absolutely love your passion for veganism and for inspiring others to become healthier and happier, and I love your compassion for the world and all of its living beings. Advice from you would mean the world to me: )

There is not a single nutrient found in animal products not found in plant foods What about vitamin b12? I know you can get it from fortified foods but you can't get it naturally anymore because it's found in soil and untreated water, and we wash our veggies and treat our water (which is a good thing because we don't have all the diseases that comes with it. Also, a lot of people (both omni and veg) don't get enough vitamin d, especially those in northern states. A deficiency in either one of these vitamins can wreak havoc on the body and it's dangerous to tell vegans that they don't need supplements. Be on the safe side guys and take a vitamin (:

Vitamin B12 is not available unless you're willing to eat an enriched food which is usually processed. It is essential to supplement with a high quality, vegan B12 vitamin. I eat a variety of vegan foods, including nuts and good oils. My energy levels are terrific and my weight has steadily decreased to a good weight. All of my numbers are good at the doctor's. I don't know why you keep lying about fat and vitamin deficiencies.

your points made a a LOT of sense.
i understand now what i've been doing wrong.
i've been dairy free for a year now and i went vegan in July.
i'm having a hard time sometimes ''doing to correctly'' as you mentioned.
my cheats would always be cheese tho.
i'm not giving up!
thanks for your videos. you were one of my biggest inspirations to go vegan

While it's true that p much ALL OF YOUR VITAMIN NEEDS CAN BE FOUND IN PLANT PRODUCTS some people are already deficient in some vitamins (like i'm extremely iron-deficient) and taking a multivitamin whn it gets bad helps you along. I have to take iron supplements by order of my doctor, because even though I eat lots of spinach and greens it's sometimes not enough and I get sick: (

you said you could get all nutrients from animal products in vegan foods. I'm vegan and have been for about 3 months and it's amazing but i have been told that B-12 is not found in any vegan foods. Is this true? I take vegan B-12 supplements every day because I don't want to die hahah but what's your opinion, Freelee?

I agree with you but there is b22 which isnt found in plants however there are studies that prove that taking a b12 supplement is more effective then eating animal food sans is healthier but you cant say that they dont need supplements they do need 1 supplement and you need to take it wether you are vegan or not

Freelee! I need your help! I was vegetarian for quite a while but I would like to go vegan. I'm not sure how to start bc I frequently eat when I'm bored and reach for not healthy things. I am 16 and live with my parents. How can I start my journey of veganism?
