Freelee and Robin building an Off-Grid DIY homesteading fence to keep their food supply safe from the piggies. There is no talking in this video till the end, just sounds of nature and building fence. It's not the prettiest fence but this was the only option of this strength. We used 8/90/15 hinge joint mesh and 165 mm galvanised star pickets. We hammered the star pickets 40cm into the soil because it fits our soil type with lots of rocks, you might need to put them deeper. We left the star pickets sticking out above the mesh top since we then could add a plain top wire if the pigs where gonna jump the fence but they did not. It also lets us hammer the star picket in deeper if it breaks at the bottom because of a tree falling on the mesh and thus saving us the cost of a new one. For strainer posts, we used 32nb and 40nb galvanised pipe and other steel that we found on the land, for some strainer posts, we used stainless steel wire with ground anchors and it worked well given the short length between strainers. Don't use the same size strainer post as us because you will have to size your strainer posts appropriate to the length between the strainer posts, longer means stronger strainer posts. And the gate hanger post needs a stronger post too. And again size your stainer posts and support appropriately, we have very short lengths between the strainer posts so this worked for us. We used gripple t-clip for tying off the bottom and top wire of the mesh to the strainer post since those wires are thicker and harder to tie off. We used a hand tie-off knot for the rest and your hands will adapt, no worries. We used gripple joiners for joining the mesh where the rolls end. Make sure to get the gripple joiners that fit your mesh wire gauge and remove appropriate amounts of hinge joint knots from the ends so that you can tension the mesh with the gripple tool without the knots interfering. The gripple tool is expensive but can be used to make trellises etc. Not sponsored by gripple; ) We attached the mesh to the star pickets with pre-bent wire. Be careful when straining, rolling and tying the mesh since it has sharp edges etc. We recommend painting exposed steel and to give the top of the star pickets some rust-inhibiting paint since some of the zinc galvanised coatings get damaged by drilling the post in. Also, gates with welded joints do well with some extra rust-inhibiting paint on the welds because it rusts easily there. We ended up painting all gates green to match the forest. We just weed the fence with a scythe, NO HERBICIDES or whipper snipper! The fence survived a big tree falling on it, just had to tighten it up a little with the gripple and it was as new again.

When out to the pub one night with a group of friends went to catch a taxi at the end of the night & I jumped in the front seat & the taxi driver locks the rest of the doors & refuses to let my friends enter the taxi. Why? he didn't say why just silence but it was because they are black & this was in South Australia. That's just 1 of the many times I've seen racism.

Unfortunately pigs can dig under fences. As cruel as it sounds an electric fence will teach them to avoid fences and will increase the probability that a farmer will not shot them. This will be a very controversial topic here, but which is worst an electric shock or being killed?

Nooo, we have lots of those fences in norway, and they kills so many animals trying to cross or get through them. they get their head stuck or feet stuck and then panicks hangs themselves or rips of their legs. i hope you dont experience this, but heres your warning!

I've been vegan for about 2 years now and feel great! However, since I haven't always been vegan, I was wondering if my body will always be damaged from my past years of consuming junk food and harsh chemicals. Can someone answer this?

I used to do this for a living for many years. Oddly satisfying to watch someone else doing it. (It's been shot much nicer than a farmer would do too, which helps) Great to see you're still doing your thing Freelee.

Freelee, have you heard of a YouTuber named Chikara Transformations? She seems to be rather obsessed with you, having done several vids on you. Just so you know.

Hi Freelee! Huge fan!
I was just wondering about your membership plan. How many others are on it and are there any other perks?

Wild boar can be really dangerous. Be careful! Would love to see a segment about what you are eating in a day now and calorie count
