THIS WAS SO FUNNY Today we went to different Starbucks locations and gave the workers 1, 000 if they spelled our names right. It wasn't so easy. peter pham: I hate to be that guy, but I'm going to do it anyways. Starbucks partners (employees) are not allowed to accept personal tips or gifts from customers, but advise the customer to place generosity in the tip jar which will be equally divided amongst everyone. Target employees are not a company operated employee thus cannot accept tips, since they are hired at a slightly higher pay.
