The corrupt group running the Democratic party has successfully stolen the presidential nomination from Bernie Sanders and his supporters TWICE in a row. What makes anyone think they won t do everything in their power to also try and steal the 2020 general elections?
Even though he s been treated horribly, I think the real reason Sanders won't leave the Democratic party to form his own progressive/socialist party is because his HANDLERS WON T LET HIM. They've invested far too much time and money to infiltrate the Democratic party and they re patient enough to wait for one of their other newer projects (like AOC) to get stronger and take over from their failed project Bernie. Plus, they know if they split off and try to form their own party, they would quickly become irrelevant. There just aren't enough hard-core leftists in this country to support a viable third party.
For their part, the corrupt corporate/globalist factions of the Democratic party are happy to use the progressive left as enforcers, street thugs, and mostly peaceful protesters/rioters. Meanwhile, the left-wing cadre managing the Progressive factions are equally happy to use the corrupt corporatists as useful idiots while they continue their project to take over the party from the inside.
The corporatists enable and support the left-wing street thugs like ANTIFA and the leadership of BLM, giving them cover and protection through their allies in the corporate media. They do this despite knowing that they themselves would be among the first lined up against the wall if the relatively small hard-core Marxist cadre running the progressive movement is ever able to seize full control. For now, the corporatists still have the upper hand, which is why they can treat Bernie and his supporters like they do, but under the right circumstances that could change very quickly.
It's a lot like Hitler and Stalin signing the mutual non-aggression pact in 1939. They cynically decided to work together to invade and carve up Poland between them, but they both knew that it was just a matter of time until they were fighting each other to the death, and they both thought they would be the one to come out on top.
That's essentially what's going on in the Democratic party right now between the corrupt corporate globalists and the extreme left progressive factions. They re working together in a loose alliance, but they DESPISE each other and it s just a matter of time until the showdown comes. As far as I m concerned, it can t happen soon enough. I m hoping they destroy each other.

I can explain #3 (in-convenient. You see, every year in the US we are inoculated against the rigors of long lines and bureaucratic morass by having to file our taxes in a system designed to boost our resilience to overly complex processes and arcane definitions in the form of tax code. After emerging from a week of tax preparation, often resulting in a 40+ page document (even 80+ page document, depending on what forms we must complete) for our state and federal taxes, we emerge reinforced against bureaucratic ennui. Four consecutive years of this practice builds up our mental immunity to the point that the voting process becomes simplistic by comparison. There is a side effect of this procedure, that comes in the form of riots and hysteria immediately afterward, regardless of how wins. We unfortunately have not yet developed a vaccination program, however, against chronic outcome. We suspect the media may have something to do with it, but at this point our best minds are stumped.

Listening to the Mockingbird media try to spin the narratives of their corrupt masters would almost be entertaining if it wasn't so dangerous. CNN, MSNBC, NPR, NYT are all actively working together to manufacture consent on every major issue in the news. And it s not like Fox News is worthy of trust either, for the most part they re working as the loyal opposition (although Tucker, Steve Hilton, and a few others are doing real journalism for as long as they re allowed to.
The best traditional style news source I m aware of these days is the Epoch Times, along with a few real journalists like Glenn Greenwald, John Solomon, Matt Taibbi, and a handful of others. There are also some amazing independent people doing amazing work, the kind of work traditional media stopped doing years ago.

People are criticising the term world's oldest democracy a lot but overall in the context of what we mean by democracy in modern times this is the truth, what is meant is it is the world's oldest continuous representative democracy that has not gone through a revolution, reformation or coup, eg even though democratic bodies such as ancient Athens the Icelandic Althling or the British parliament have existed prior to the US they have either ceased to exist, had their autonomy or sovereignty suspended for periods of time, or been reformed so much as to not resemble their initial stage of operation. Except for widening suffrage, the US government and electoral system meanwhile has been operating relatively unchanged since the US's inception.

the worst part is that there's gonna be some americans in the comment section justifying all of this because you don't understand that you, as citizens of a democracy, deserve better. you think america's the greatest country in the world but you're actually very resistant at any changes that would prove that is true. any other country would work towards progress and celebrate once that progress is implemented (ex: a new law, a better, more competent president. instead you're setting your country back by decades.

64% registered voters. doesn't surprise me. I firmly believe that our two party system is to blame for that. Libertarians, Greens, and others are still fair game for criticism and mockery. not to mention outright exclusion in the mainstream. Folks wonder why 36% of people vote with their middle finger, I'd bet at least 60% of those 84 million people abstain after seeing clowns to the left and jokers to the right.

I cant wait for the laws to change and they see democracy in action. Its held american minorities back for too long. Let them have a voice, let them have their say. It is their human right to vote.

Former So. Korean president gets 17 yrs of jail sentence for taking bribes from Samsung. Took 13 yrs of investigation, since no media or reporters cover the corruption story. Recent death of Samsung chairman and cleanup of justice system and courageous witnesses coming forward lead to this arrest. WHERE is BIDEN's justice for 47 yrs of corruption, we have the facts, witnesses. COME ON America needs justice!

The rest of the world: no gerrymandering, automatic voters registration, proportional representation, no long lines, most vote on Sundays (or voting day becomes a national holiday, high turnout, no purging, no felony disenfranchisement, etc etc etc.
Man, the US is 100 years behind the world in terms of democracy, and yet it still think it's the best.
