by the time the people there realize that their traditional diet is better than anything Nestle can offer, it may be too late. Even in America we don't eat the traditional diet anymore. Every thing is a fad diet. 200 years ago our ancestors would never have recognized (let alone eaten) any of the stuff we have now, but the problem is the generations that created processed food - some of them remember what it was like to have to literally do everything by hand and the truth is the advertisers may have appealed to that part of the hearts of those who were cooking that said you don't really want to be doing this do you? and they bought into the processed food convenience not ever really realizing that over a period of time it would cause all these issues. Such deception.

I don't think it's about the lower bases getting higher it's about this products being cheapier than fruits, vegetables and other common diets components that are increasing their costs.
Not talking about the small villages kind of isolated to have great markets and all, but in the cities. Where time is always running out and people are getting crazy about that. Not having the time to cook/eat healthier foods and the taste side of things.

Brazil is still lightyears behind what happens in USA. Even if we eat processed food, we mostly eat natural food as anything natural around here is tastier and cheaper, I'm serious. But of course, you still can get obese by eating sugar and lots of meat, and our rice+beans combination can easily get one fat.

This video should be made with Portuguese subtitles so it can be understood by those who don't understand English! This is a very important message and happening in most poorer countries across the globe. Good nutritious local food is replaced with this utter waste of unhealthy formulas. Disgusting.

Thats BS. Brazilians eat very well, even the snacks are usually healthy. Even our McDonald got organic juice, calabresa burguer, veggie burger. It's different from America where 60% os people I've meet are fat and there's even those people in wheelchairs everywhere because they are too fat too move.

Everyone always laughed at the US. Were just a glimpse of what you guys will be once you develop. The good news for you is that we are learning about what makes us fat. Hopefully we can stop it before we all have diabetes! Get these processed foods out of here

When he said. it's not having an impact on the diet what he was really saying is it's not constantly exposing them to high-carb foods to keep them hooked on our food; it's not sustainably profitable for us.

Companies do what companies do. But at the end of the day, the choice is yours. Americans I slowly starting to reject junk food, so companies now have to go elsewhere. They're not bad, just a company.

I wonder how much worse obesity is now and how it will affect Brasil as SARS-CoV-2 runs rampant because the president refuses to enact any policies to protect people.
