Last year, Houston saw a 16 percent drop in domestic violence reports from Hispanics. The police blame Texas anti-sanctuary city law, saying it has made undocumented immigrants more reluctant to report crime for fear of being deported.

These people are illegal and have no right to be the U. S. Its a sad situation, but these people have knowingly placed themselves in the shadows and need to follow proper immigration processes as millions have and continue to do. We (U. S) can not take responsibility for people unwilling to contact law enforcement, not only for themselves but the spouse that abuses them because they may be deported. The problem can easily be resolved if/when these people self deport or are deported by I. C. E.

The Constitution is to protect us citizens not illegal immigrants I hate when people take up for wrong and swear something is wrong even the amendments are meant for AMERICANS stop saying illegals should be allowed this or that when you also acknowledge that they are illegal that's like you saying forgive him for robbing the store he has a kid coming to America undocumented is a crime and you do the crime you get the consequences simple as that!

It sickens me to see people say Well you are illegal what do you expect or If only you came legally you wouldnt have to worry. I understand many people have their opinions on immigration, but people in this country shouldnt feel scared to call the police to report crimes. I would rather have people help the police or get help when they need it even if they are illegal than have someone die or get away with committing a crime.

I feel sorry for anyone who is abused but 3 women die every day in this country from domestic violence and we don't have the resources to care for American citizens. They are ILLEGAL ALIENS and should be scared. We have a board and laws we live by. You don't have the right to be here because you want to be. Come legally. Learn English and be part of society. Language barriers divide us.

VAWA (Violence against women act) protects abused women by their partners regardless their status. We all are human beings no trash. Texas immigration law is immoral and disgusting. If any abused woman is undocumented is entitled to apply for VAWA and eventually get their residence. No more abuse against women.

You arent a victim for coming here illegally. Say it with me. Criminals are not victims. Someone selling meth can not call the cops if they get robbed. Does that mean we should be fine with people selling meth, so they can call the cops and get help?

We need to let all immigrants around the world come into the country and the help them out we need to move to other countries and take our money and skills with us so the immigrants can have room for their own money and skills

If you weren't in the country illegally, this wouldn't have happened. So pick which one? What makes you think you can have both when my relatives are still waiting to come to the US legally? And have been waiting for 15 years.

But you will be safe far away from him IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY, so why are you still insisting on staying here in his country knowing very well that you never had a right to be here anyway!
