My grandparents on my mom's side separated my dad and mom somehow. the wanted it and it happened. The destroyed my family. And I dont see them as family anymore. I was 3 or 4 but I know and remember everything and I just see them as sick people. Who can feel hate when they see love. And for me thst is just so. so weak and so disgusting. I am 16 so this year or next I am probably leaving anyways. but I am just scared a bit because I need money somehow. more money then I was able to find for myself those months. It's your child, but it's his/her own life. whatever choice s/he makes, it's your role to support her/him. Will never understand this tendency people have of putting their nose in others' business. nobody has this right, even if they're the parents. one's life is personal. it's private. it happens once and if you ruin it, you're a criminal. everybody deserve to be happy and acceptance is the first step towards it.

how funny you talk about family but you lie to your family. doing something without discussing and doing things behind your parents back. imaging one day your kids, disrespect you, doing things behind your back then you know how hurtful it will feel. this is not about 'did not understand' or 'do not accept'. this is about not telling the true and keeping things behind their back.

Is it just me or are most parents 'bad parents'?
Not saying bad people. Just most people lack the skills, compassion, understanding, open-mindedness, communication AND forgiveness.
It's so hard and a lot of parents can't own up to their own mistakes.

Indian parents are the worst. My own parents specially my mother is very abusive to me even after 1. 5 years of marriage. I love her but never wants to accept my husband as my husband. she is worst in her language. My heart aches.

I think a similar dynamic exists between parents whose children wish to have inter-faith marriages (I. e. Hindu-Muslim. There is little acceptance, and couples are often given the merciless ultimatum of separation or disownment.

I know what that is like I'm married and been together for 4 years and my family does not except it. By the way he is Mexican. And his family does not approve of the marriage. So I know what this cuple is going through.
