My heroin addiction nearly killed me - now i'm tiktok famous - brand new me

SAMMY was just 16 years old when he first tried heroin. He'd had a normal teenage life - having fun with friends, drinking and occasionally smoking marijuana - but it all changed when a friend introduced him to a 'hard drug'. Over the course of the next 10 years Sammy became addicted and tried many different drugs until they were on his mind 24/7. He spent years in and out of rehab until he was hospitalised and nearly died from an overdose. Now Sammy is two and a half years clean and sharing his story on his popular TikTok account, a platform that enabled him to start a support group for recovering addicts all over the world. He's meeting up with his friend Kevin - the same friend that first introduced him to heroin - to discuss their sobriety journeys and how much happier they are today

It is so hard for a heroin addict, or any addict I'm sure; to return back to these places where you have used or done things to support your habit. Watching this made me tear up many times. So many of us addicts can watch this and relate. The ones of us that are still alive. Thank you for this video

From addict to angel. there's a reason why he has the past he has but not due to punishment or karma necessarily. but instead for him to go through the biggest awakening of his life. He had learn to appreciate life, save his own life and even safe others' lives. -

Yeah. I might have to check him out.
Cause I know the feeling of people. BASHING on me for my addiction. and just making u feel u don't even deserve to me clean. Let alone, feeling u will never be there. Or be the same person. Or any of those aspects

Good on you! Remember the addiction demons NEVER give up. I had the amazing experience of bringing an 18 year old kid who was for all practical purposes dead back with a shot of Narcon. Nice that you are doing the next right thing -

I really doubt social media, or being an Influencer is healthy for a recovering addict. You need to focus on yourself and your mental health. Worrying about followers, views or how you come across is the last thing an addict needs.

Love you man. Your TikTok page has helped me so much. When I want to use, watching your vidoes actually helps. Watch them for an hour until the craving passes sometimes. Respect. 27 and sober for a month after 8 years of using.

He is an INFLUENCER, coming from the bottom to the top and has a message, which is positive! Congratulations young man. Continued success and hope he can reach as many people as possible to make that change. Blessings

I'm extrememly proud of how far he's come in beating his addiction. But, this should also speak to how bad the opioid crisis in America is and how Big Pharma is allowing it to continue and is profitting off of it.

I'm one year sober from cocaine and three months sober from alcohol. I was an addict for over 10 years. It's so important that there are people out there using their platforms to talk about this.

I'm so happy for you. -- Sadly, my 25 year old son was not so fortunate. He was clean for 3 years and then relapsed. He passed 3 years ago this June. I miss him terribly. ---

It's nuts how many people on here we're also addicted such as myself. I feel many more people struggle with addiction than people realize.

I-m so proud of you, it takes courage and strength to overcome this - I hope more kids will learn from this and will be open to learning.

I resent the person who introduced my dad to heroin. He started using 5 years ago and has been off and on. I miss him so much.
