A MOTHER who has alopecia and recently had a double mastectomy is opening up about how -it-s okay to be different-. Professional photographer Marisa from Michigan, USA was diagnosed with alopecia at age nine. She wasn-t given a full reason for her hair loss, only that it may have been stress induced. After years of accepting her body, Marisa found out she had a high risk of breast cancer, and chose to have a double mastectomy in February 2021. She told Truly: I found out that my percentage for breast cancer and ovarian cancer are high risk. I was still breastfeeding, so I decided once my son was done breastfeeding I was going to have the preventative surgery - because that was going to give me the best chance to watch my son grow up. Marisa has learnt to love her unique body by photographing herself and posting it on Instagram. She said: My bald head and boobless body is beauty, it-s me

Watching this. I am reminded of an episode of Oprah. where a woman on the show had a double mastectomy. She was so devistated and conscience about it that she sought out a surgeon who could help. The woman had enough fatty tissue and skin in her Hips and Buttocks. that the surgeon skin graphed New Breast and Nipples. Then the woman went to a Tattoo artists who color tattooed her ariola and nippples. She was so Pleased and Happy with the results that at the end of the episode she showed them off to any woman in the audience who wanted to see them. I wonder if this woman is a candidate for the same procedure or if she ever thought to seek out a similiar surgeon?

First of all, she is stunningly beautiful. second of all, she made a good point regarding reactions to seeing a woman with a bald head. you would think especially nowadays when it's so common for women to shave all their hair off it wouldn't be a big deal by now. I thought the stigma with hair was going away but it doesn't surprise me that there's still people out there who are stunned by anything slightly outside the norm. Newsflash of the day: people are people and typically want to be treated as such regardless of their appearance. got it? great.

You do not need anything but faith to have a good outlook on a bad situation. People are cruel, God Loves. You are amazing and beautiful and you have a lovely spirit. Thank you for sharing this with us. God does not give us what we can not handle.

the most important thing is to feel proud and comfortable alive. no matter how different you may look on the outside.
your brain and ideology is what makes you belong. external shape is just for superficial people.

She has a beautifully shaped skull and her face is flawless. I couldn't get by without wearing hat because the back of my head is flat. not perfectly symmetrical like hers. She looks devine!

I am so very proud of you the fact that you embrace what life throws at you. Have you ever considered RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY for your breasts? I heard they look natural.

Cant put a price on that smile! Took me 5 minutes to even realize you didn-t have hair. Just goes to show we are more often then not our own harshest critics.
