Why do they always make them super tan? There's nothing wrong with being naturally pale. Please stop making pale people look like they have jaundice when you give them a 'makeover'. they didn't even give her w make over. They just changed her clothes, made her skin, lips, and eyelids yellow and put lashes on her.
Step 1: Remove makeup
Step 2: Paint them yellow
Step 3: Change their clothes
Step 4: Make-over complete

Makes me sad because a lot, not all, but many of these people cover themselves up and distort their bodies due to trauma and as a reaction to their insecurities. I-m glad if they-re happy, but I feel like for many of them, it (tattoos, piercings, cutting their tongue-) will never be enough and they keep on adding more as a way to cope- I just hope they find happiness with themselves down the line.

I genuinely believe most of these just have their own style but it can't be denied that Amber's childhood bullying clearly caused trauma that severely impacted her in later life. She has quite literally covered what was bullied. Without her tattoos, she was uncomfortable and admits to feeling like a teenager again, the teenager that was bullied. Never bully people.

The first girl. could they have chosen an uglier dress or wig? I get that some people want to look so different, I just don't understand all the emo black stuff that makes them look even more like other ppl who dress like that. It would be cool to see some TRUE originality that doesn't involve doing what so many others are doing. if that makes sense.

I think these people would benefit more from therapy. - they have such low self esteem that they would rather hide themselves under all that junk. while they could shine. they are so beautiful how they are without anything. they definitely suffered a trauma that makes them unable to even look at themselves in the mirror. very sad

Erin looked like a supermodel after her makeover! Imagine her in a look combining goth and glam- it'd be stunning! Amber is supermodel gorgeous too, I believe she actually is an alternative model. I love how supportive her makeup artist and especially her mother are.

That wig was a horrible choice. I would have gone with a darker color hair. She might have looked better in a foundation that was closer to her natural skin tone. The bronze does not look bad. But they should have picked a different wig and a different set of clothes

She's GORGEOUS under the monster makeup! I've watched several of these goth to normal makeovers, and I would love to know what happened to these girls to make them hate their own faces to the point that they hide themselves completely under the heavy goth makeup.

Anytime I see these people I feel sorry for them. Their pain is so obvious. Most of them have had trauma early on and have this need to try and hide behind their ridiculous hair and makeup and outfits. Sad. They are all lovely people inside.

I like the tatoos, but on the face, they are so distructing. I wouldnt be able to concentrate and talk to the person. It is an evolutional thing, primal. to see the face of another person. is it friend, foe stay, flee.

All of these people are beautiful before and after makeup. I'm 55 and learned a long time ago what it feels like to lose yourself. So I say you be you and always stay true to yourself. Stay beautiful inside and out
