I did my first tattoo at 2 years old - my extraordinary family

MAYA, from Germany, first started tattooing people when she was two - and with the help of her parents Lily Lu and Anuskatzz, she has become a skilled, professional tattoo artist at just 12 years old. Maya's father, Lily Lu, has always encouraged a free-spirited and artistic lifestyle for Maya and, as a tattoo artist themself, Lily Lu has nurtured Maya's skillset from a very early age. Lily Lu told Truly: I tried to push her to be creative and to be productive as you have a lot of benefit from it. Growing up, she was painting and when she turned two she asked if she could also tattoo, so I said yeah, why not! Despite the caring and creative environment they created for Maya, there were people who thought they were irresponsible parents for allowing Maya to tattoo at such a young age. Lily Lu said: I'm a professional irresponsible person! But it has no harm because Maya is surrounded by professional tattoo artists who have eyes on her, especially in the early years. And Lily Lu is a proud father who believes their daughter is very talented. They added: I know no one who started that early with tattooing, has that skillset and has that many possibilities. I'm very curious what her future will bring, it's very interesting and exciting but I just want her to be happy

I like how her dad said that he doesn-t try to force his lifestyle on her, he just lets her do her thing. That-s really cool because a lot of people would try that very thing because it-s what is -safe- or -normal- for them. But let-s say she ends up going a completely different route like a traditional job or living a very structured lifestyle, completely opposite from what she loves now? Of course no one but Maya herself knows what she-ll become or what she-ll choose but at least she can know for sure that her dad will love her and be there for her regardless. That-s a lot more than most people/kids can say and be certain of.

Honestly, I think that she is very loved and she seems to like tattooing a lot. As any other art, she needs practice and she is getting it with friends and family. She isn't pushed to anything so even if it's not a conventional way of parenting, I like it, it seems to work for them.
Now this has nothing to do with parenting but I have noticed that the father is missing the same finger from each hand. I don't know if it's due to an illness. I am just a little bit concerned in case that he is taking the tattoing and body modification to a dangerous extreme. If anyone knows please let me know.

Okay people r weird. So on the -we r raising our kids with no gender- video the parents didnt deserve to have kids and they were bad parents? But here people r saying -atleast the parents r there for her- and -the dad looks so nice- i know the way they r raising they-re kids isnt the same but they both treat they-re kids with love. So why dont the other family deserve to have kids but this family does when they both treat they-re kids with love? (Im not hating on this family they look like a cute family. Im just saying u dont have to hate just because u dont agree)

Its crazy how mature & well rounded she is at such a young age. But its great to see. Because it's something young people desperately need, and many lack. Shes doing very well for herself, & its nice that she has the guidance that may be unorthodox to some, but is missing in some youth because of lack of guidance in general. And shes clearly got a future in tattooing if she does stick with it. Which i wouldnt be surprised if she did, & i do hope she does! It could be a nice path for her

I mean- it-s art-. Just on a human canvas. No one bats an eye at a kid getting a doctor degree at a young age. It-s respectable to be able to perform medical procedures with proper training. As long as she understands the medical aspect or sterilizing and the technical aspects of the tattoo itself and is doing them on consenting adults, let her practice.

As someone with tattoos, my only concern is the quality was not that well. Her art is fine, but her technical application is questionable. Maybe as an idea, let her tattoo on fruit and the fake skin stuff to practice the packing in color because that tattoo doesn't look like it's going to last. Like be supportive but don't be disillusioned.

So what: who you are, what you are, what you look like, where you sleep?
My daughter only related to art, in her anxiety ridden young life. She tattooed at a very young age and is now soon to be 40. I learned late: love your children, encourage their creativity, and assure them they are ok and wonderful, don-t wait! Congrats!

SO viele respektieren! The way you guys do you is really lovely to see! Some fascinating perspectives indeed. Your kid is loved SO MUCH that Dad is willing to give up his own skin for practice to allow her to grow. That is amazingly beautiful.

OK so nobody-s going to mention that the guys blue? If he was walking down the street with his wife I would cross to the other side the fact that they taught her how to tattoo at Age 2 is mind boggling like how does that even come up organically?
reply

You people in the comments are silly - even if they are present they look like clowns so its just damaging and the kids got no good role model cuz everyone around them is pathetic loser

When asked if it-s irresponsible they look at the camera man like do you really think we consider what is irresponsible or not - - and then omg he said it himself as I was writing this
reply

Wait she did what! In the UK people can't get a tattoo until they are 18 and over. I'd be scared if a kid tattooed me. (Yes I have a few tattoos, before people start moaning at my point)
reply

She seems to get all the love, creativity, fun and freedom a child could get! She speaks English very well. so what her father looks different. Guess allot of children need this love
reply

This is great. They seem like good parents and that-s all that matters. Maya seems loved and cared for and I think she will benefit from such a unique and unorthodox upbringing.
reply

the only thing i disagree with is that they say they-re her friend. you shouldn-t be your child-s friend until they-re an adult. you need to be a parent.
reply

Hold up, I remember that person with the tattoos on their face. There tattooer name was -lil swastika- I-m sure they don-t go by that name anymore -

The Life of Kids Is of God, not of parents. i ve 2 sons and much tattoos at 18 they decide. if this father and mother was nazi. i don't want to think.
reply

i don't see anything wrong with what they're doing she has loving parents and so what if they're friends my mom is my best friend always had been
reply

The family seems cool and loving but I would be scared to be covered in so much heavy metal tattoo ink pigment. That can't be healthy
reply

She seems happy, carries herself well. Tattooing could be extremely lucrative, especially with so much experience already. Good on Dad and Mom.

My sisters kid made her first snail and her name tattoo to me when she was 4y old. They should get her rotary, not those old coil machines.
reply

its nice how her parents are being responsible and how theyre sorta dissolving the stigma of -people with tattoos are evil-

If she's this good at such a young age already, I can only imagine how talented she'll be as time goes on.
