Wish elaborated further as it is already easy to comprehend the difference between comma and semicolon when it comes listing. Started watching with fascination and ended up with disappointment..thanks heaps for the effort though!

In the example'I need an apple,a banana, a car,a dog and an egg',you didn't use the Oxford comma,though you're British,beside will the phrase hold another meaning if I say'I need an apple,a banana, a car,a dog and an egg'?

Thank you for your explanation, but as for commas, I would write an apple, a banana, a car, a dog, and an egg with a comma after dog. Thus, A, B, and C rather than A, B and C.
