I can totally understand how a man would do whatever is necessary to feed his family. Its just by The Grace Of God that we have so much, but if we were put in that position I do believe my husband would do whatever it takes to take care of us. I can also see how tempting it is for people to want one of those babies for a pet. Although I don't agree with any of that I can not judge those men for doing what they are compelled to do to fed their family.

It is ILLEGAL to keep this endangered ape! So the idiots that have it have to let it go. They cannot keep it. In fact they should go to jail for breaking the dam law. They can't have it their way! They will just go back and get another infant and kill it's mother again. It's time to stop giving them warnings. It's been over 20 years. Put them in jail!

When you say that killing the mother and then selling the baby to feed your family is okay then where do you draw the line? It's illegal and you're breaking law. So does that mean it's okay to mug someone in the street or rob a liquor store at gunpoint? Raidimh your neighbor's Garden? Breaking into the grocery store?

I do wonder if those lucky enough, like myself, who don't have to go without and have food and a roof over our heads, if put in this position would sell an orangutan in order to provide for their family. A month's wages is a lot. An orangutan's life is worth so much more.

It might be the teams policy not to give money but i could easily give them enough to not have to kill or take in Orangutans, and i would gladly do it if there is a way. These are not bad people, they are desperate people who just need other options.

I am glad people saved these orangutan babies and were taking care of them. English people need to STOP demonizing other nations when they themselves have killed millions of Native Americans and Australian Aboriginals.

Those orangutans share 97o/o DNA with humans. Wonder if these people who kill the Mother and take the baby know this. Would they do this if they new how closely related we are?
reply

He says it like its okay BUT an orangutan is a months of wages for this family ok and kidnapping a bank teller is a years worth of wages you cant look at it like that.

He said its hard to imagine killing such a beautiful animal. If that guy was hungry enough he would cook the baby and eat it. These people kill me
