If that's the case, it makes a lot more sense, although this clip alone does not lend much to your description of 'brilliant', but fair judgment only on this clip is equally not possible. Thank you for pointing that out to me. You'd think that the BBC would note that in their description though. Much of the critique on here would be perhaps different and would surely improve their marketing and maintain their reputation.

This isn't always the case though. A lot of the time an elk will fight back, especially if it's a bull, and wolves risk getting injured or killed by their antlers. Sometimes the elk outrun the wolves. Wolves usually have a low hunting success rate, especially if the pack isn't that big.

For all complaining it is a 2 minute video. I'm sure they wanted to gain attention from younger viewers by adding the music and some CG. If you want the footage look up other Videos such as Nat Geo or other BBC videos focused towards older viewers.

If a kid needs tacky computer animation to get them interested in nature at a young age, then something tells me he/she isn't going to become a biologist.
BBC sure has fallen from its David Attenborough presentation heights.

Hold on here. you never told us wolves have teeth. You just spring it on us after letting us know wolves hunt in packs and have paws. Anyways, for a real nail biter next time, you guys should show us Cats vs. Mice.

Some miserable sods on this comment thread. Lighten up. Its aimed at kids and will get them interested in nature and, in years to come, they will probably want to look after it. .

It would have been a different story if the pack was desperate enough to try to take on a healthy bull elk instead of picking out the weakest of the herd.

This series has too much CGI and flashy nonsense, can we not view nature in it's glory as it is? Do we really have to turn it into some kind of rave video?

This is very bad and a prime example of the way the BBC, hitherto renowned for its wildlife films, is dumbing down and sensationalising its output.
reply

Exchange dumbed down with 'CGI bells and whistles' if that's what your counter argument is regarding. They are synonymous in this instance.
